Just got my package in from Boohoo. You all were right, definitely not worth the spend. Probably won't wear any of the stuff I bought. The pants are the worst-I have no idea what kind of faux inflated ass these pants were made for, but it looks exactly like I shit my pants when I'm wearing them. Disappointing.

Has anyone tried out any of the new Colourpop Tie Dye Collection? I'm feeling the purple/blue one in particular, it reminds me of my first Maybelline shadow quad from junior high.

ETA: Those Zeesea palettes are gorgeous.

I thought about getting Aura and Out, but I am mixed due to the pressed glitters.

Some of you might make fun of me but I am seriously debating on buying the Lucille Ball eyeshadow palette from Besame Cosmetics. The colors look nice and I like I Love Lucy. :)

I juust found this crazy ass old tweaker who got 2 of the tie-dye colourpop palettes. It's not so much about her skillz or aesthetic but her personality is kind of hilarious, I'm looking into her other vids now. I haven't seen enough yet to put her in the youtube for gorls thread but thought I'd drop this here

The pastel palette I really like is the Harajuku from Nomad. It sells out a lot so it's usually "pre order"

Oh no, I knew I'd get tempted by something if I
clicked the link. Now I pre-ordered the peach lipstick from the Lucy collection even though lipstick is kind of cancelled this summer thanks to mandatory masks. I love Besame though.

I am so envious of people who look good in powder blue shades like in that palette. It just doesn't look good with my coloring though, I don't know what it is.

Since I just talked them up: Zoya is doing a BOGO sale on their polish. Enter SMMR2 for the code.

I love the brand overall, but just be aware that they can't break the laws of nail polish physics. (AKA whites and yellows can be trickier to apply, blues can stain without a base coat, and the matte shades are prone to chipping sooner than others.)

how would you say the formula compares to Essie? I fell back in love with the brand after finding an unopened bottle of “Mrs. Always right;” the shade is a luscious magenta and I could have gotten away with just one coat of it!

Overall, Zoya is the smoothest application I've had from any brand, though of course there are exceptions here and there. (Just had one with a shade I opened for the first time, but it was one of those colors that generally has an asterisk.) However, I liked Essie very nearly as much on application (I'd say it was a close silver medal on that aspect) but it didn't last me as long before starting to chip.

I should admit that I am absolutely goddamn terrible with not having a fleck of dust/hair/etc. land on wet polish, or bashing my damp nails into something, and so I tend to always go for two deliberately thin coats even on shades that could work with just one. So that's my general perspective on how polishes feel during application.

If you have a specific shade range you're curious to try with the brand, I can probably give a rec of a polish I've tried and liked.

That would be great! I’ll have to do an inventory of my polishes to see what needs to be updated and replaced haha.

As for the dust specks, etc., have you perhaps tried one of those quick-dry top coats? That might help!

I've tried a couple, but they always seemed to make my polish chip a little faster. :( I'm kinda brutal on polish as I clean, tend my garden, type a lot, etc., so I really notice any faster chipping. But it could have been the ones I've tried. Do you have any recs for good quickdry topcoats?

I don’t think I’ve ever used a quick-dry, maybe a while back one of the sally Hansen ones? I

but I’ve seen sally Hansen touted as one of the best ones many times online; they have several different kinds, I think, like their Big Matte one and their Insta-dry one. I’ve also seen OPI quick dry drops mentioned a few times. And I don’t have any personal experience with the brand, but Seche Vite is often also lauded in such lists, but I don’t think it’s as accesible as SH.
But for the price point (shouldn’t be more than five or six dollars) I’d say sally Hansen is the best!

Awesome, thanks! I actually use a Sally Hansen basecoat and like it more than the premium ones I've tried, so I should have tried their topcoats, too.

Does anyone here has a tip about how to not fuck up your hair when you swim in the beach or the pool? I'm tired to wash it every time I'm swim so I appreciate any advice given.
Also, do you have any advice about stop biting your nails? Is getting tiresome.

anti-bite nail polishes are a good place to start for nail-biting, I think they make some with very bitter "flavours"

I have that. It's intense :3

Good to know. I heard that shade and Wink (which I already have) are no longer going to be restocked after it sells out. I really want to get more colorful shades and I am dying for some pink after having a lot of orange/brown/bronze shades.

I also look into their Fun Size palette when that restocks. Do you have that one and if so, how is that like?
