Which colors did you get of the Revlon. I just bought the Skinlights 4 color set and a new single pot of cherry blossom (old one dried out). They are sheer, but look really pretty. You an layer them over matte creme shadows if you want more drama.

I got the Caramel one from Amazon. I wanted to get Black Currant but I only wanted to try one before I'd buy that shade. It's gorgeous and that shit lasted me for 6 hours at my job. Thanks for the advice on the matte shadows, I'll give that a shot!

I'd just like to say I'm both surprised and glad that a guy can post on a fashion thread on kiwi farms of all places and not feel ostracized km doing so.
Hey, it's awesome when a guy pays real attention to how he looks and feels good in the style he's found 👍

What is your opinion on going to bed with damp hair? Some say its a no-no and that you should dry it fully first and that if you dry with no heat it actually causes less damage than letting it air dry (especially in bed).
I want some hair advice... I have long, straight, fine hair and for some reason tangles really easily, especially from sleeping. It's really annoying to have hair that tangles easily but also gets oily and flat easily. I've decided to use conditioner even though it's not something people with oily hair are fond of because my hair just looks dirty if I skip a day of washing it anyways so I might as well manage the tangles. I recently had to cut out a little matted ball of hair because I decided to use 2 in 1 shampoo and no real conditioner.
Some people say putting your hair in braids will help prevent matting when you sleep. Is that true even for fine, straight hair? I don't know how to braid my own hair and was wondering if a low ponytail would help. I'm a bit worried about traction alopecia even though I've never had it because I know hairstyles can cause it so I normally just let it flow free. tldr: trying to prevent that kind of damage. What is the cost/benefit analysis here? Is detangling your hair harder on it than tight styles?
I tried the Hard Candy syrup lip stains and I like them. They don't actually feel sticky like syrup does. They smell nice and I have very thin lips so I was pleased that they didn't just slide onto my face like some lippies do. I also have been using the pineapple enzyme based cleanser by Alba Botanica. It smells good and is pleasant to use. Not too expensive. Most of their products are about 10 dollars Canadian. I'm going to shave my brows for the first time with a special little shaver so hopefully I don't accidentally take off half an eyebrow. Wish me luck.

I sleep with my hair in an Amberlynn-style top bun, and I've unfortunately noticed that it is doing some damage to my hairline. But I am a greaseball and CANNOT sleep with my hair down. I've slept this way for years now.

My hair is layered and won't stay in braids unless I start with wet hair since it's very fine. It also gets oily and flat super easily (volume? who's she?) and I have to wash it every single day. So hi there, hair twin!

One thing I've started to help combat the oil is to skip conditioner in the shower and use a leave-in cream instead before drying - it's about the same texture as regular conditioner and I don't let it touch my scalp. Maybe look into good leave-in creams for the length, and dry shampoo for touch ups on top? I am also naturally wavy-curly and trying to work with that, so that throws even more complication into it all...

Here's a really weird question for everyone: Mr. Polexio just got a motorcyle, and I've learned that after wearing a full face helmet for a while my hair is absolute tragedy. I HAVE to put it in a ponytail or else it tries to practically dreadlock itself in the wind. Apart from my own tip of dry shampoo, and a good Wet detangler brush, any way to keep from looking like a sewer rat when I take my helmet off? (I have a 3/4 helmet coming in but I am not hopeful; I have always hated any kind of helmet with a passion.)

Nothing useful to add here, just wanted to drop this screenshot I took when looking at stuff online.
Have a look at the color name :story:

Has anyone else noticed that a ton of female clothes on Amazon have image reviews from men with sissy fetishes? :cryblood: I was looking at stuff and I swear at least one of these creeps plagues the review section. Here, for example. Review in spoiler to save your eyes.

Yep. I was looking for a skirt on amazon a while ago and had similar weirdos in the reviews posting pictures of themselves in it. Gross.

it's not just amazon, any clothing place that allows comments can quickly get overrun if they're not careful. mumsnet has a thread about men doing that in reviews about under clothing.

Maybe radfems had a point when they said kill all men.

Yes. I've been on amazon for a long time. Back in the day, I'd maybe find one creepy dude a year, if that. Now? If I look at any popular clothing listing, I know I will find at least one review with a creep in there. They always make their reviews sound non-sexual and normal, but then their photo is very sexual and disgusting. Thigh high socks and plaid skirt listings are filled with these perverts.

The worst ones are bra listings. I was in need of a new bra recently and I was absolutely disgusted by the amount of gross perverted men "reviewing" them.

Aw, but he looks so happy! Crossdressers want to feel pretty too, ya know.

Eh, I don't have that much problem with crossdressers really. Now if they were going into specific detail about their fetish...then I do.

Has anyone tried those detangling brushes like Curltastic, EZ Detangler Brush or Felicia Leatherwood? I know they’re more for anyone with kinky/coily hair, but I am curious if they could be better for dealing with knots. I wear my hair up in a ponytail a lot and I get these huge knots in my hair to the point where the brushes I have aren’t effective.

Sorry if this is late ... I have long, straight hair (medium-thick coverage but fine strands) and my experience has been that braiding it or putting it up to sleep is really more of a pain in the long run. If you move around at all during the night, even a loose braid or bun will end up putting tension on your hair at some point, and you'll get uneven breakage. I think a certain amount of matting or frizz in the morning is the lesser of the hair evils.

For what it's worth, my hairdresser recommended conditioning the middle and the ends (but not the scalp), and sleeping with loose hair. I've never had a bad experience or damage from sleeping with my hair still slightly damp, but YMMV.

And now my general question for the thread ... Does anyone have any recommendations for a good women's clothing brand that's made in the US? A lot of the stuff for plus-size women is the Chinese-made fast fashion, but I've never been happy with the quality of those pieces, and I'd prefer to support US-based businesses if possible.
