I haven't used anything they've made myself, but I've heard mixed things. Sometimes you get stuff that works, sometimes it's garbage and their customer service is nonexistent. They also seem to be lying about about the "made in the USA" thing considering how dodgy they are about it last I heard, if that's an issue for you.

Yeah, the brand originates from China which makes me hesitant to buy it (especially with their track record on production quality). The dodginess puts me off so I will refrain from buying from them.

Does anyone know a good lipstick to get that glassy sheer dewy lip look?
Also thought I'd try something different and buy some Freck. They make this stuff for doin faux freckles which I used to think was kinda lame but tbh I'm totally into it now. If done right it looks super cute and makes you look like you're wearing less make up than u actually are.

Alright, any good facial products for very dry skin that do not cost a fortune? I’m broke as hell, but I’m really sick of my constantly dry skin and can’t seem to find a good routine to help with it.

And it’s literally only on my face. The rest of my skin is fine. Not sure why (:_((i should probably ask in the skincare thread but it’s like semi-active)

unpopular opinion: god i HATE HATE HATE 90% of jeffree stars palettes, with the exception of jawbreaker and maybe like 2 others that're being discontinued anyways so it doesnt even matter. and the conspiracy palette's shades are atrocious in particular, unsure why it was hyped so hard

Cetaphil's Daily Hydrating Lotion is a good one! It's good for sensitive and dry skin. It's a nice lightweight moisturizer too so it won't feel so heavy on your face. It's about 16 USD though. Hopefully, that's an alright price for you.

$16 is pretty doable, thank you! I’ll definitely look more into it

For a "glass-like" look, I recommend a sticky gloss, like MAC's Lip Glass. Buxom makes some nice glosses as well (with plumping effects). I've also heard that Lady Gaga's new makeup line, Haus Laboratories, makes a nice gloss that's comparable to the MAC glosses for that "glass" and "wet" look.

I second everyone suggesting Cetaphil. CeraVe is great too, and it's just slightly more expensive than Cetaphil.

I've also had success with Pond's Cold Cream for Dry Skin.

Waleda skin food is your new night cream. The only thing that works for me. It's VERY thick like an ointment, so spread it on when your face is damp, or use a thin coat of Squalane.

Have you actually tried the eyeshadows, or are you just saying you hate the colors?

I hate the packaging of Alien but wish I bought it, I like the color story. I was gonna buy Androgyny too, is that one being discontinued? I guess if I waited all this time and never bought it, I never really wanted it.

I love painting my nails, but what I don't love is that my blue-collar job disagrees. They never stand a chance. *tiny violin music*
I love the prospect of learning how to do work on cars/motorcycles, but a little voice inside me goes "noooo, my nails!!"

If you have some spare $$$s Charlotte Tilbury is a dream for glosses. They are definitely a splurge though. I echo the Buxom recommendation too.

Those are awesome suggestions, but may I also throw the Fenty Beauty glosses into the mix? Super shiny, non sticky, and they smell like cherry Jell-o. Downside is not a big color selection.

Depends on what you consider a fortune. I have extremely dry skin, I spent a summer determined to fix my skin after a really bad breakout. I steamed my face with water mixed with either lemon or coconut butter weekly and used castor oil (a small bottle cost me $15) before bed. All of my forehead and nose acne disappeared, the lemon also helped with my hyperpigmentation. A small bottle will go a long way but refills are hard to find in stores.

The struggle is so real, haha! I work with chemicals every day but when I see a pretty sparkly nail polish, it makes my girl brain light right up.

If you can shop at Amazon, look into Korean and Japanese toners and emulsions with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and squalene. I use Hada Labo products with hyaluronic acid (serum and gel cream for moisture) and the kikumasumura sake toner (pink bottle). Layering lightweight products seems to be better than just using a moisturizer, and these products tend to absorb better into the skin. They don't cost a lot and they last several months.

^^^ If you use YesStyle like I do, they have a section for skincare, and they’re usually fairly cheap if you don’t mind waiting a few weeks.

ive swatched some from my friends palette and the formula is good, but the color story on most palettes is GOD awful [see: conspiracy/his newest palette] its such a disappointment
if only he could release a basic palette like the james charles one with massive shade range, sigh

if they're only slightly asymmetrical, then imo youre probably just going to end up drawing attention if you try and correct it with nostril contour. two actors i can think of offhand are rosario dawson and terri davis that have asymmetrical nostrils and nobody notices (besides spergs like me), even though their asymmetry isn't exactly slight, especially in rosario's case
