I really would love to see a makeup collection based on the Legend of Zelda game series. Shiro Cosmetics did, but they closed down. :(

shiro shut down in the weirdest way, too. They just... disappeared. I wondered if it had something to do with copyright infringement- almost everything on the site was based off of something else, including the Avengers which is Disney. They did have some fun stuff though.
If I remember correctly, the only announcement after the owner ghosting on social media was via someone who knew her saying that she had closed her store.

You guys convinced me to try Colourpop for the first time. I just put together a basic bitch nudes palette to try out their formula.

It sucks because I heard they were pretty decent for the price and quality. However, I heard that the owner was deemed as problematic but I never really got a good answer on why. I remember PhyrraNyx(?) saying something on it but she didn't want to go in detail? I have no clue.

I tried some new products lately. First one is the Anastasia Brow Wiz. I've been using the brow duo powder for a long time and decided to give this a shot, and I really like it - the triangle shape is genius. It's a lot less effort than regular brown pencils, with more natural results.

I also tried Eyelure magnetic lashes. I've been on the fence about magnetic lashes for awhile since they have so many bad reviews, but figured I can just use them normally with glue if they don't work. I struggled for about a half an hour with them and still haven't figured them out. My initial impression is they are just not going to work, maybe because of the shape of my eye. My one "successful" attempt looked ok, but the base of the lash was too straight for my lash line. I've had this problem before with false lashes with too stiff of a base. It's too bad because I really want to wear to wear fake lashes more often.

Another mostly negative review for Kaja Cheeky Stamp blush. I knew this product was a gimmick, but I wanted to try a new liquid/cream blush and I thought it had promise, especially since I liked the color. But it's not a great liquid blush, and the heart stamp gimmick doesn't actually work well either. So, pass. I'm always looking for good liquid or cream type blushes if anyone has any recs.

Couple of questions. Has anyone tried a fake freckles product like Freck? Or any other method of fake freckles? I tried just using some brown eyeliner, and it's ok but the Freck product looks better.

Does anyone have any recs for super dry chapped lips? I've tried all the usual suspects like carmax, vaseline, Jack Black Intense Therapy, lip oil, burt's bees, Okeefe's overnight lip repair, and different glosses like Dior glow balm and lip maximizer, Buxom, Too Faced, Julep moisturizing gloss. Every single time it seems like a new product works great for a couple of days and then my lips become super chapped and peeling again. Maybe this should go in skincare, but has anyone else had this problem and ever found anything that works? I feel like I'm just throwing money away and not solving anything.

Rosebud salve is very nice for chapped lips. Chapped anything really.

You probably tried it but just in case since you didn't list it, have you tried Eos? I like it, and they come in regular packaging now (I hate the awkward egg thing)

Had no idea it was a Kailyn thing!

Iconic moment

I go old school on chapped lips. I live in new england and walk a lot, the cold and wind are brutal on lips. I use bag balm. it ain't pretty but it's super efficient.

"Rosebud Slave" omg, that is everything! I agree with Strawbz on Glossier balm.com. The thing these items have in common are petroleum jelly. Yep, they are Vaseline and whatever the company adds. Rosebud slave has cottonseed oil. I feel like the oil stays behind and sinks in after the product wears off. Also, no way I would use my slave around my eyes. That is retarded. EDit: but I do condition my eyebrows with it, so I guess I kinda use it near my eyes.

It was some seriously weird black bag type stuff. Apparently the physical store went up for rent practically overnight.

I got some Alkahestry eyeshadow as a gift, haven't really been able to find anything that was quite the same since.

Nuxe's Reve de Miel in the pot is a good lip treatment. Use it by night tho, cause it's super thick. L'Occitane's shea butter in the tin is good too. No color and barely any fragrance.

For anyone looking for a good brow pomade, I tried the Makeup Revolution Soap Brow thing (dupe of the Iconic one). Not bad for a 10 buck alternative, but the mini brush sucks balls. You're better off getting a lot of fluffy lash goupillons from Aliexpress.

Anybody know if ColourPop's brushes are any good? Thinking about getting the brush roll/rose gold set. My decade old Sephora brushes have been good to me for a really long time ... But they're finally starting to show their age.

I gotta say that the price of the brush roll is more than agreeable ... But I don't want to bother if the brushes stink. I've only tried thepencil brush, and I do really like it ... But it's also hard to screw up a pencil brush.

I have the lash (mascara) brush because I got it for Besame cake mascara. It works pretty good, well-made too.

The ELF brushes are good too, and they're damn cheap.

I’ve never tried Colourpop brushes, but I’ve had great luck with the AOA brushes from ShopMissA, and those are $1 each!

Did anyone manage to get any of the Sailor Moon collection? I never had a chance as almost everything in that collection was gone by the time I could get onto the site. None of it would have suited me, but it would be cool to see owner pics.
