YSL Black Opium is one of my signature scents too! I actually need to get a new one. (I always get roller balls/purse/travel sprays when possible because I never finish an entire bottle before I get bored of the scent and I forget I have it. But Black Opium is the second perfume that I've actually finished an entire rollerball/travel spray.)

To continue on the topic of perfume, does anyone have a recommendation for a coconut perfume? I've been relying on finding $15 bottles at Marshall's for the past few years but since I've found higher end scents for spring and fall, I'd like to upgrade my summer perfume. The ones I've liked have been coconut, sea salt and lavender and coconut, sea salt and cedarwood. I looked on Fragrantia or whatever that site is but they take it a bit too far and I get irritated reading about creamy notes and shit.

Also interested in non-coconut scents you love for summer. Thanks

I really like Micheal Kors Wanderlust. (I think that's what it's called; I'm too lazy to get up and check my vanity.)

@ricecake I can think of two popular perfumes where I personally can really smell the coconut: Versace Crystal Noir (perfume version, not EDT) and to a lesser extent Dior Hypnotic Poison (the one in the red bottle) buuuut the thing is, neither of those actually smell very summery to me.

If it were me, I'd just stick to cheap stuff because there are a billion coconut options out there. I would probably layer a coconut body spray or EDT with a favorite summer scent.

Bronze Goddess by Estee Lauder is my end all, be all coconut perfume.

The coconut in it doesn't smell like a "pina colada" or a "sweet" coconut. It smells nutty, if that makes sense. It's a coconut blended with white florals ... Which makes it smell like a fancy sunscreen. It's one of my must-haves for whenever I go to the beach.

So ColourPop had a big sale for July 4th. I had been eyeing some items for a while, so I figured why not get them when I can get my order for 30% off?

I tried a liquid lipstick. While it's definitely not the best liquid lipstick formula I've ever used (I dislike the Kat Von D and Beauty Bakerie formulas a lot more), I think it's fine. I wouldn't say they're long wearing, but for matte lipsticks, I think they're fine and comfortable to wear. My favorite liquid lipsticks are still that Ulta Avengers one, and the Maybelline 24 Hour SuperStay.

Other things I got were the "Sweet Talk" eyeshadow palette (gorgeous, btw), some Zodiac pigments, some Disney Villain highlighters (specifically the Ursula and Maleficent ones), and a classic Lippie Stix (one of ColourPop's OG items that put them on the map).

Yeah, I pretty much love everything I picked up. Most definitely my favorite makeup brand at the moment. Sephora WHO?
I've been wanting to get something from ColourPop but the price makes me suspicious. I bought from Makeup Revolution and it was a HUGE hit-or-miss, but the price tag is similar. I heard very good things from their highlighters, while foundation not so much. Might give it a go on the next sale, what do you think is your favorite item you've bought from them?

My favorite ColourPop items are the Super Shock Eyeshadows, the eyeshadow palettes, and the Lux Lipsticks. Easily.

I can't emphasize enough that if you want some nice eyeshadows while on a budget, then you can't go wrong with ColourPop. And the Lux Lipsticks definitely match the quality of some "high end" lipsticks I've tried out before.

they have the best eyeshadow I have ever used, hands down. their eyeliners are really good- pigmented and smooth. lipstick and highlighter is really good. frankly, I wish that they would raise their prices so I would stop impulse buying.

ColourPop's eyeshadow palettes really are something.

I have three of them: The Disney Princess palette, the Sweet Talk palette, and the Zodiac palette. ALL of them have blown me away.

They're not great "for being under $25." They're just great, and I would absolutely put them up against any eyeshadow palette you can find at Sephora.

yeah, I'm not opposed to spending serious money on things that work (opalex, keihls, etc) and I would buy colourpop if it were 4x the price. as it is, i just buy 4x the amount

My favorite pair of light wash jean shorts ripped. I’m pissed about that. Any jean short wearers, where do you get yours?
I've always dug Kohls. They had shorts for younger women that didn't show the whole ass but weren't Mormon knee lengths either. I don't wear shorts much in general anymore though.

I've found some pretty great ones at JC Penney, believe it or not. They have a huge variety of lengths, too.

One of the brands at JCP, called "a.n.a," have great denim options in general. St. John's Bay is a solid brand too (especially if you're more into preppy looks for Summer).

American Eagle, tbh
I just went to Buffalo Exchange to get new jean shorts and was surprised my favorite out of all of the ones they had was American Eagle, bc it's not a store I usually like. Nice light wash with some distressing, short but not too short.

I used to get mine at Charlotte Rousse tbh. I should have gotten more than I did when they were closing bc my favorite pair of black ripped jeans was from there ;3;

Ok so. I’m looking for a purse and I can’t decide if this is a stupid idea, or fun:

I was also thinking of getting a black structured purse for every other setting.
