Winter fashion can be such a drag. People can't even see my cute outfits under my jacket (:_(
I live in a super cold city and for the past few years I have focused more on buying coats, boots and winter accessories than actual clothing. Kind of a pain to store because all that stuff is so bulky, but it definitely keeps me from giving in to the "fuck it, who cares" attitude that hits a few weeks in to wearing the same coats and boots all the time.

I snag tons of great deals on coats on Ebay and thrift stores. Amazon has loads of cute boots under $30.

I tend to go for those knit thigh-high socks that Aerie sells, over-the-knee boots, or plain black tights when wearing skirts or dresses, but I should give patterned tights a try! They sound cute.

Patterned tights like these two are my JAM:

Patterned tights make me feel confident and pretty whenever I wear them. And I recently got a pair with black and red leaves sprinkled throughout (for Fall), and another pair that looks and feels like a knitted sweater.

I love tights but I have the worst luck with them because I always end up getting them caught and ripping them. (:_(
Same here, I haven't worn a single pair of tights more than 3 times because they always snag and rip on something. Mr. Aphrodisia loves cute tights like that on me but I can't justify spending money on what amounts to a one-use item. Maybe I'll just get a bunch off Wish or something.
Plus, they make my legs itch something fierce. Leggings too. Anyone else have this issue? I can't even wear skinny jeans much because they make my legs itch.

Out of curiosity, how much do you moisturize your legs? I've noticed that I skip the moisturizer, my legs get itchy in the fall and winter. *sigh* I'm the undisputed queen of ripping tights, but I've noticed that the tights from Urban Outfitters always last me quite some time. They're also reasonably priced, imo.

I moisturize my legs pretty much every day after showering, using a hempseed lotion. Even if I moisturize, they'll still get itchy if I wear tight pants or leggings or tights. I'll look into Urban Outfitters' tights!

You could have a fabric allergy? I know a person that can’t wear polyester, so maybe see if any of the itchier pants have something in common. Could also be detergent if it’s only after washing them, because the fabric is much tighter fitting.

The only ones that don't rip or get snagged or the thick ones that aren't made of thin material.

Has anyone else tried the Shea Moisture coconut all over hydration lotion? (Yes, this is the same brand where black people had a fit because white people were used in their advertisements.)

If you have dry skin it works great. It's also the best coconut scented lotion I've ever smelled. It's not sweet coconut, it's creamy coconut scented.

Speaking of delicious smelling lotion, I got this today:

It smells like vanilla and cake.

Not sure if Kiwi Farms is acquainted with TokyoMilk products. I have this scent(Kabuki) in a Hand creme, roller ball, and the perfume itself. It's heavenly and smells like Vanilla, Jasmine, and a hint of citrus without being over powering. The prints are so pretty on all of their products and everything is extremely high quality. The only downside is customer service can be a bit squicky about refunds and the products are on the pricey side. I'd totally recommend these to anyone. Kabuki, Let them Eat Cake, Honey and the Moon, and Song in D minor are all wonderful and feminine scents.

Amazon has it, and your description of Kabuki sounds like something I would be incredibly interested in. But I want to smell it first. The closest retailer is some bougie boutique and it's an hour and 20 minutes away....hmm.

I bought some stuff recently from Dollskill too, but I haven't gotten it yet. I bought it on black friday, hope I get it soon.

The pieces I'm most excited for:
Vest

Dress

I usually like stuff they sell by Current Mood, but Current Mood has been disappointing me lately.

Darn, the dress I got is from Current Mood. Hope it's ok, I've never bought anything from that brand before.

I meant in terms of what they were putting out. I haven't liked most any of their recent collections. Even the new velvet one is blah.

@melty Whoa I fucking love that vest! Tell me about it when it arrives! How does it fit, what size you got (if you're comfortable with that), etc. Looks dope

I bought the Dollskill Stillwater shorts since they were on super-clearance and I needed something to go over some skintight pants I got - and the name is a reference to my favorite movie (hence my username). But I think the pair I got were made inside out, because the crocheted flowers are sticking out - whereas in the photo they are lying flat against the model. If I turn my shorts inside out then the flowers lie flat. I don't really want two embroidered flowers sticking up off of my ass cheeks and I wouldn't have bought them if the photo showed the flowers sticking up. Oh well, seven dollars.

Maybe I"m dumb, since I've never even been on the Dollkill website and don't know what these pants look like to begin with, but if the only problem is the flowers not lying flat, would it not be possible to just match some thread and stitch them down flat?

This *is* almost two weeks old now, though, so don't mind me if this has become a non-issue.

Not really. The tips of the petals curl up, but the whole flower itself is raised off of the rest of the pattern. If I stitched the petals down it would be a little better, but the fact that the whole flower is raised still draws too much attention to my ass. Two flowers are literally positioned right in the middle of each cheek. It's not a classy look.

I'm just going to cut the stitches on the tag to remove it and wear them inside out, or just have to save them for the bedroom. C'est la vie, I probably won't buy from them again unless it's something impossible to fuck up.

I gotcha. It probably looks nothing like how I'm picturing it, but regardless, it sounds like a weird damn design decision.

I've never bought anything online, and constantly hearing things like this makes me continue not wanting to.

This is the shorts right-side out. You can see that the flower is raised above the rest of the pattern.

As you can see when the shorts are turned inside out, the flower pattern is still there but it lays flat.

So for Cyber Monday, I did a ColourPop order. Turns out they mailed me the wrong order (and the order is three times as much as mine). Once I let them know what happened, they said that they would ship my real order to me and that they're sorry for the inconvenience. They are letting me keep the wrong order at no extra cost ... So I'm sitting here with a crap ton of free, new makeup. Definitely going to share these with my friends, because I'm kind of overwhelmed by the amount I have.

I've heard complaints about ColourPop shipping outside of the U.S., so I can't speak for that ... But it seems that their customer service is pretty fantastic. Just putting that out there for others to know in case they were wondering if they wanted to order from them.

That scent sounds amazing. Jasmine and vanilla are some of my favorite fragrance notes (especially jasmine). I can't imagine not liking it. Definitely going to add it to my Amazon wish list.

Same thing happened to me with ColourPop on Black Friday. I ordered the Tiana Disney Designer set but they sent me the Jasmine one. I told customer service and they replied pretty quickly, telling me that I will get my actual set soon. Never mentioned anything about returning the Jasmine set, not like I am complaining!
