What does that even smell like? I've always been curious but perfume makes me barf (no, really) and even if it didn't, my skin is too sensitive for it.

Per Wikipedia, atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot, saffron and honey. I find it a little difficult to describe (thmellth jutht like FAME) but it's not heavy or light, but more somewhere in the middle. I also have some nostalgia towards it as I wore it on my first few dates with the last Mr. Multiples. We split up a couple years ago but remained on good terms so thankfully that didn't ruin it.

So awesome that my memory of finding an unused Poison brought up memories for everyone else <3
I should really use it more.

Pacifica has a great Persian Rose as well as French Lilac with nothing but in each rollerball. Have you tried Pacifica, @Mariposa Electrique?
I am going to try it now

Chanel no. 5. For so long I dreamed of this being ~the~ fragrance. My grandmother had a little tiny empty bottle on a cut-glass dish that I would occasionally smell and dream of the day that I would wear mine. Cut to years in the future and I try some on at the perfume counter before the store opens. It comes off as a very mature fragrance for me and reminded me of trying to clean vintage clothes/accessories of their Chanel no. 5/cigarette potpurri.
I agree, I have an original no. 5, but I don't use it. I use no.5 L' Eau or no.5 Eau de premiere.
I also wanted to try my own hand at perfume making, especially using real violet essence.

I love rose and lilac (but not together urgh urgh urgh)

My day to day scents:
  • Juicy Couture: I think this might be discontinued because I've had my rollerball for a bit and it says "Love G&P" on it. It's on the stronger side and has a good lasting power.
  • Marc Jacobs: I love Daisy, Honey, Lola, and Dot. I'm a little over Lola now but I use Dot rather often still.
  • Dior: I have Miss Dior (unf so light and pretty) and a bottle of Poison that my mom had bought in the 80s and never used. Poison surprisingly smells still good after so long and the box was even still sealed. It took me a little growing into and perhaps a little dissociating from the 80s to start liking it.
  • Lady Gaga Fame is like the best celebrity perfume, hands down.
  • Balenciaga Florabotanica is one of my go-to first date scents.
  • Chanel: Chance is a favorite fragrance of theirs that I like.

  • Gucci Flora. I wish I knew where my hate for this shit came from. I never liked it, I never claimed to like it, and any news of me ever liking it was fake news. Somehow my mom still got me some for Christmas one year after she had asked me multiple times if I liked it. I ended up returning it. Come to think of it, I did pick up a damaged bottle at work that proceeded to cover me in the stuff. It makes me sneeze uncontrollably in any amount.
  • Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. I loved this until a refill fell off my bathroom counter and hit my glass scale and smashed, sending perfume everywhere. My bathroom smelled fabulous but the damage was done. It was so strong and so all over everything :( .
I recently purchased a brand new bottle of JC from what is basically Australian Wallgreens. I don't think its discontinued & it's one of my favourite perfumes other than Dior Hypnotic Poison and Lolita Lempicka EDP.

I don't think it's discontinued, either. The packaging might have changed, though. I've had the same bottle forever because it's not my favorite JC, so I don't wear it that often.

I like Lolita Lempicka, too. My favorite LL perfume is Fleur de Corail. Unfortunately, that one is discontinued.

I love Lolita Lempicka too! It's a little different than the fragrances that I normally prefer and my husband isn't fond of it because he says it gives him a headache smelling it on me, but it's one of my favorites.

J'adore Dior gives me headaches. Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf gives me a full on asthma attack.

Now for a question: eyebrows. I've always had pretty good eyebrows in terms of shape and arch and all that, but... recently my thyroid crashed and burned and my eyebrows... well, they started falling out so now I have to practically draw them in. What do you guys recommend for brow products? I've tried the Anastasia brow pomade because I saw so many beauty gurus using it but it's easy to get too much on my eyebrows and I end up looking like a clown.

This is not make-up advice, but if you want your eyebrows to grow, consider using castor oil on them, it really helps.

Thought you guys might like this, lol

I love light, clean florals, light fruity or citrusy scents for myself: Donna Karan Be Delicious, Clinique Happy, and Armani Acqua di Gioia are some of my favorites.

I feel you, my mom had thyroid problems that caused this and I've always had kind of patchy eyebrows for some reason. Its one thing I have to do every day.
My favorite brow product is the anastasia brow powder duo. I use dark brown, I don't know what your hair color is like but they have all different shades, it's nice because you can make your brows darker or lighter or use both shades for like a subtle gradient if you want.
I apply it with a really really blunt angular brush, like this: http://fustany.com/images/en/photo/...stany-beauty-makeup-angled-makeup-brush-1.jpg

I posted that in the Beauty News thread a little while back, thought it was a nice collision of two worlds, so kind of hilarious.

I have the Anastasia brow powder duo in (I think) taupe, but it's still kind of too dark, so when I use it, I am worried I look ridiculous. It's possible (and probable) that it looks fine and I'm just insecure about my brows, though.

Thank you! I didn't even think about trying the powder, I only used the pomade. My hair is naturally dark brown so that might actually work.

It's probably fine. Strong brows are in vogue right now so I don't think it matters very much.
I like using the brush and powder as opposed to a pencil because it's a softer, more natural look if you want.

I think most people outside of youtube (both men and women) have kind of bad eyebrows so trying to do something reasonable is usually good, imo.

I fill in my eyebrows with an angled brush and eyeshadow from elf's Mad about Matte palette because I'm cheap af

Really though it's hard for me to strike a balance. Naturally I'm platinum blonde so my eyebrows are super super light brown, but I've hennaed my hair into bright redness. There's a reddish brown color on the palette that works really well for me. I realized that it might be time to fill in my brows when a flash photo of me was taken and there were no brows to be found.

I've been using Clarin's Double Serum and it's incredible. After 4 days of use, my skin feels so much younger and looks healthier. Nothing else I've tried has given me this noticeable of an effect. Now I kind of want to try their whole line and see what else they've got going on.

I too imagined Chanel no. 5 to be a mature, mysterious scent until I actually sprayed it on myself, and found that it was too strong and grandma-y for my tastes. Channel Chance is pretty great though. Bleu de Chanel is a fantastic men's perfume and I find myself sampling it from time to time.

Philosophy's Amazing Grace is my all-time fave; I never get tired of wearing it. It could be that I have a lot of positive associations with it, but it's a light floral fragrance with a tinge of clean laundry. For the super fancy occasions, Hermes' Sur Le Nil is fucking amazing.

If you like the laundry scent, have you tried le jardin de monsieur li by Hermes? It feels so springy and clean to me.

Right now I'm all about Norell Elixir. I got a random sample of that one in the mail and it kind of blew my mind a bit.

I like the brand "Clean" and their Fresh Laundry scent, as well as the "Skin" scent. It's very light, not too strong, and smells... uh, "clean".

I also like Maison Margiela "Replica" perfumes. They do have a fresh linen scent.

Amazing Grace is, in my opinion, similar to Prada's "Infusion D'Iris". It's got this fresh laundry smell with some floral mixed in.

My favourite fragrances right now are Maison Margiela "Fireplace" - it smells like burning wood with a hint of vanilla. For more night time scent, I like Lush's "Lust", it's a mix of jasmine and vanilla. For daytime I like roses, I use the FaceShop's rosewater perfume gel.

As a graveyard shift worker, I need some serious shit that will depuff and do away with dark circles.
Any suggestions? Right now I'm using a product through Garnier but it doesn't do much for the dark circles.

There is a new line called The Ordinary sold at Beautylish. They have a caffeine serum that is supposed to be great at dealing with puffy eyes. It's a problem I have too. They were sold out almost instantly but hopefully will restock soon. Might be worth a look. I bought a few of their other serums and primers. Not expensive at all.

Perfume is my jam. Mostly florals. I rediscovered Ysatis by Givenchy recently-wore it in the past and forgot about it. Just bought a bottle (it's not expensive) Still love it. I also regularly wear Dior's Jadore, Jean Patou's Joy, Hermes elixer de Marseilles, Genttiane Blanche, and Rose Ikebana. Out of the Hermes, I'd say the Rose is my favorite, it's so delicate and yet still has that "Hermes" scent if you know what I mean. I also have another Givanchy, Irristible, which smells like grapes to me. The Joy was another fav from long ago. It no longer mixes as well with my body chemistry but I still love it. It's one of those Grandma perfumes, but I really think that with perfume there is no age, just memories.

I do like the lighter Philosophy scents too, Grace is my fav. And, my go to summer scent when I just want to freshen up is 4711. I live in a hot climate so I just splash it everywhere to cool off and it dries down to a light citrus scent. It's a hundred year old product, made in Germany and only about 15 bucks. :). It's for men and women.

I bought a perfume at Nordstom and got 26 samples with it! Some of the Replica scents are in it so I'll try them. Those you mix and match?

I have heard Chloe's Rose is nice but I haven't been able to find it anywhere to try.

I could talk about perfume all day. If I was wealthy I'd have one of those lighted walks with different scents on it-and somebody else to dust the bottles! :).
