I have KP on my legs and I've found that glycolic acid products really helped control the look of it. I only shave my legs once a week (don't judge me) and I've found that worked as my once-a-week physical exfoliation. I'm eyeing up the Nip+Fab glycolic body cream, since I used to use their glycolic face pads on my legs out of desperation a couple times a week.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know there was a body cream! Also, you'll hear no judgement from me on the no-shaving thing, I do it maybe twice a month, whenever the hair gets too long and starts bothering me.

Guys. The salon messed up the colour of my hair (but the cut is great, it's just what I wanted). My hair was two different colours before they even started because I had around an inch of roots. My hair is now two shades of brown and I'd like it fixed. Is there an easy way to tell them that I want it fixed on the cheap because they messed it up? :( I hate confrontation.

Just call and say you love the cut but the color is a bit off. If you can, though, go in and let someone actually look at you, it'll help if they can actually see what's going on.

Call them immediately. If they're a decent salon they will fix it free of charge. Any reputable salon would offer to fix it without pay, even cheapo ones. This is especially pertinent if you paid a lot for your hair! They're in a SERVICE industry so they have to fix what mistakes they've caused. Take pictures and call them, tell them what's going on. If they refuse you can always give them a bad review on Yelp lmao.

I love Shape Tape. It does have a distinct scent but I wouldn't describe it as medicinal or like bug spray. Typically I don't like my products to have a fragrance but I don't mind Shape Tape. After applying you really don't notice it, it seems to fade away quickly. I would say it's very...herbal, I guess? I don't mind it. That said, it works incredibly well and I can't see myself using a different concealer anytime soon by choice. A little goes a LONG way, which is great, and the coverage is amazing. It definitely lives up to its hype. I highly recommend.

Anyone have any favorite primers/setting sprays? I feel like nothing I try really does the trick or is lasting. I've tried every UD setting spray, a few Tarte primers, and NYX primers and sprays, and nothing really seems to help makeup stick to my face - after a few hours, no matter what, I have to reapply because my foundation is melting off.

Aaaaaaa. I'm gonna have to go in and give it a sniff test.

Hairchat: lots of flyaways right at my part at the hairline on my face. wat do?

I use a little bit (like a tiny amount, a little goes a long way) of jojoba oil at my part and ends to smooth them out and give them a little bit of moisture. If you can find just plain, straight up jojoba oil, it's definitely worth trying out. My jojoba oil was initially for massaging my lobes while I'm stretching (bc blowouts are evil and I want none of their fuckery), but I tried a bit on my hair and was very impressed. (I also use it as a cuticle/nail oil!)

You could try using a finishing polish or a small amount of gel. I've used http://www.markhill.co.uk/products/perfecting-polish/ and, while I did prefer their old texturising polish it's pretty decent. Alternatively, get a decent smoothing serum; Fish do some pretty good ones at a reasonable price.

I've been using Moroccan Oil on it but doesn't seem to be helping- do you think the jojoba oil is more moisturizing?

Alas, not available in the US that I can see. I'll look for something similar. :heart-full:

I have the same problem. Unfortunately, if your skin is oily at all, I'm coming to realize it's something you'll just have to deal with. I'm starting to get all the right products in my routine so I'm not losing my makeup as quickly, but it takes a lot. I prime, I set, and then I set again with a different product.

I do have to ask, what's your skincare routine like? If you're not properly moisturized and prepped, that makes everything 10000% worse.

My skin is occasionally oily. I guess I have what I'd describe as combination skin, though not in the traditional sense. Sometimes it's dry, and sometimes it's oily, but not simultaneously. Since it's winter I'm having more trouble with dry skin now but still having issues with my foundation sloughing off.

I use the Body Shop's tea tree oil skincare line in the AM (before putting make up on) and at night. My skin is pretty sensitive and I'm prone to the occasional break out and that stuff has helped immensely - it's really evened out my redness especially and I haven't had a pimple in probably 6 months. I especially like their mattifying lotion when I'm oily, but if I'm dry, I use regular lotion. Then I go in with primer, setting spray, foundation etc, setting powder, and then setting spray when I'm done. I use powder pretty sparingly because even using the tissue trick it looks cakey if I'm not careful.

I'm really liking my sephora lip&liner set. I've tried only about five things from it, but they were all great.
My favorite right now is the stilla red liquid lipstick. It's really nice.
I'm disappointed with the blush in the two faced/Kat Von D set that comes in the chihuahua pouch. It's a nice color, but not very striking, and the packaging is so cheap.
Idk about the other things in the set.

YES. Moroccan Oil has a lot of artificial shit in it, get something pure. The only hair oils I ever really liked using on my face were the VERB Ghost oil (which has moringa, rice bran, and argan oils blended in it) and the Surface Bassu oil. Especially the latter, it has a really nice cooling sensation and it's very light.

Hm. Without seeing your skin, it's hard to say what would help you, but I will tell you that rotating your products might be a good idea. If you don't already do so, that is. I know if I use the same thing for too long, whether it's skincare or haircare, I stop seeing the benefits after a while.

I feel you, though, my skin is extremely different this time of year versus the warmer months. And my skin is sensitive and easily upset, so my routine has to be just so, or my face freaks out.

I will tell you, one thing that's helped me a lot is introducing regular, mild chemical exfoliation. It took a long time for my skin to really tolerate it, but I've noticed less general sensitivity. It didn't do shit for my allergies, obviously, but any improvement is better than none.

guess who just applied acrylic nails for the first time adn nosw hds to re-lesn hosw tp type

That's a shame. Do you know if Aussie stuff is avaliable over there? If so, they do a fantastic '3 Miracle Oil' that might be worth looking at. It's used before washing hair as a moisturiser, on damp hair to repair it and on dry hair as a smoothing agent, and it does a pretty good job of keeping my cowlicks under control without being too heavy. It's got a mixture of coconut oil, Australian macadamia nut oil and Australian sunflower seed oil in it.

I wondered about the additives in the MO- it smelled suspiciously too good haha. The Surface Bassu sounds nice, I'll have to locate it. :heart-full:

We do have Aussie products! I've not seen the oil, but then again haven't been looking either. Investigation will happen!

I get SNS nails. They are a little bit more expensive than acrylic because you can't get refills, but they are thinner.

For those who like Pore Professional by Benefit, give Baby Skin primer a try. Drugstore brand, cheap, (by Maybelline), and at least for my skin type, does a great job.

I'm a Retin A user. They won't do a brow wax at a Benefit eyebrow counter if you admit to using it. So if you can tolerate a wax without your skin ripping off, check no on their form. But be careful, while those meds have amazing benefits, there are downsides too. Retin A, Differin and others can thin your skin.
Have you tried threading? It hurts more but the shape is always better and its cheaper.
You guise, I need some help. I am really trying to sort out my lips and skin and I really need some advice. I will put my questions in bold so you can skip the autistic novel I am writing more easily.

My wedding is fast approaching and contrary to my every day rule of fuck lipstick, I found this awesome colourpop matte lipstick (I think it's Mars?) that I'd like to wear. The problem is that I have really, really dry lips and so when I put on any lipstick, especially a matte, you can see all the flaws.

I recently bought a Tony Moly lip scrub. Not sure what the ingredients are since it's in Korean but I'm pretty sure it has apricot kernel in it. It's nice and moisturising and everything but it doesn't get rid of the dry, dead skin at all because the particles are too large and far apart. I did what I usually do with scrubs that don't work well enough and chucked in a bunch of very finely ground brown sugar to help make it more gritty. I tried rubbing my lips together but it still doesn't feel like it's doing anything. I tried massaging it in with a soft head toothbrush as well, not sure how well that worked.

I guess I'm trying to ask, how can I get smoother, more moisturised lips so that I can wear a red matte lipstick without looking like something from a Kailyn photo shoot (minus the herpes)? I really like Korean products, I find they work best with my skin type, which is very dry, very sensitive and very fair, burns easily.

I'm also looking for Korean acne products to help get rid of acne spots.
I only really get hormonal breakouts localised around my chin but it's hard to find Korean products that deal with the acne itself even though there are hundreds marketed to reducing the red post-acne spots. The reason I'm looking for Korean ones is that I find western products too harsh for my skin most of the time. Right now I use Clean and Clear's advantage fast clearing spot gel for breakouts and I use Banila Co's clean it zero purity for sensitive skin along with a soft bristled brush as my daily cleanse/exfoliation. I need a daily exfoliation or else my skin will peel.

I would like a really good lip balm to wear throughout the day and even the night to help constantly moisturise but I don't particularly want a tinted one and I'd prefer one that doesn't leave a sticky sensation or marks on my pillow. Any suggestions?

Just one more question to edit in:

What brow products do you guys swear by?

PL: I have one eyebrow that is not even with my other one because of the muscle, which causes it to sit higher on my face than my right eyebrow does. I have tried having beauticians wax them to be more even but it never works out, they always look weird.
Is there anything I can do about this? What eyebrow-taming methods do you guys swear by like a certain brow shaper, threading, certain gels or pencils or stencils. I really want even eyebrows for my wedding photos!
Make an appointment at one of those laser and botox places and ask them for recommendations. They all seem to do peels, IPL facials etc & nothing can really come close to the results you will get from that.

Tangentially beauty related, but I'm kind of irritated with Sephora. I'm a VIB Rouge, so I get free shipping on all of my orders. The past two years, the free shipping was two-day shipping and now they've changed it to three. I assume that it became prohibitively expensive to continue two-day shipping, but they had been slipping on that front for a while. Toward the end of the year, I never got anything in two days. They'd give me a two-day shipping estimate and then another day or two would always get tacked on somewhere en route.

Three-day shipping isn't really all that expedited. 3-5 days is regular ground shipping. So, basically, Sephora is sending me things the same way they send everyone else's things, but they still want me to feel special so I don't stop spending at least a thousand dollars a year in their store, so they're just going to pretend I'm still getting things faster.

I don't need to get things faster, so I'm not super pissed about it, but it's kind of indicative of Sephora not really knowing how to make the Rouge tier attractive to people who can spend their money elsewhere, like Ulta, where your reward points have a monetary value. Sephora needs to reevaluate its rewards program, I think. I would shop at Ulta more often, but their shipping is garbage. They don't pack things well and your stuff comes to you broken.
