I hope you find something that works for you, @Blake Bumbleby. Some of my friends had cystic acne and it's the worst combo of self-esteem killer and absolute fucking pain that I've watched secondhand. Skin is such a highly personal thing so it's probably a matter of finding the right thing.

I would also possibly suggest washing with diluted tea tree oil at the end of day. Test it because some people have a bad reaction to it and be careful because it might irritate anything open. It's a great antimicrobial (helped me control the hairline breakouts, where all the oil likes to congregate) and smells quite fresh to boot. I keep it around anyway because it's helpful in getting my sinuses unclogged and as a wound wash. I ended up making my own sort of toner since I already had the oil handy.

I hit my favorite local thrift store and was not disappointed today. I got a J.Crew blouse with a ruffled collar for $3 and some 7 for all Mankind straight leg Kate jeans for $10.

I've tried Bare Minerals' lip products, and I really liked them, so maybe I should check out their face products, too. Thanks for the recommendation!

I do always wear primers and color correctors, so that's a thing. I just worry that all the heavy duty concealers would just make things worse.

As for the lush stuff, I do like their products, but I've used products from their range, but nothing has helped much. I haven't tried those specific products, though, so I might pop by my lush and see if I can pick some of those up. And @GRANDnumberofMULTIPLES I'll see about Accutane; I've held off on it because my best friend was on it and it was rough as dicks on her body, but it this acne doesn't calm down, I might have to look into it. Cystic acne is incredibly painful, so it's not just me caring about my looks.

Oh my poor dear. I really think you should try accutine. Cystic acne is a whole different ball game then regular acne, and you owe it to yourself to at least give it a try. Yes it causes extreme birth defects- but if you're not planning on becoming pregnant, I don't really see how that could be a problem. Sometimes extreme problems take extreme solutions. And yes, accutine gives you dry skin and dry eyes - but hey, drinking an extra bottle of water a day never hurt anyone (unless you're actively, currently drowning. Then probably, yeah, it would hurt you.)

So, as you folks know, I work at BBW, as a manajerk. But this is becoming a problem. I literally have too much BBW stuff. My house is filled with it! I need to get rid of it- I have no more shelf space - so I was thinking of doing a Christmas raffle. Everyone who rates this post optimistic BY NOVERMBER 16th can enter, and I'll write down everyone's users names and draw them out of a hat. I'll pay for shipping, I don't care, seriously, I just need all this stuff gone. All the product will be unused. I don't care what you do with it, use it, gift it ( Christmas is coming!) throw it way... I just want my closet space back.

Also: Some of the products will have the old style, 2012 packaging. This is because unused products are recycled to employees. The products pass quality assurance and have a shelf life of 12 -15 years. So they're fine - but if that still bothers you, just toss them out. I won't be offended. There is only one product like that, and all the rest are 2014/2015.

Note: All of these things will be women's fragrances and/or home fragrances. Sorry kiwi lads!

I took a trip to Ulta for new foundation two days ago, and I think I've found my own personal Holy Grail. Philosophy's Miracle Worker.

Another thing I've tried out and loved recently is ColourPop's lip products. My favourite so far is definitely their ultra matte lip formula, since it's so pigmented and easy to apply. The only downside is that if you don't exfoliate and moisturize the shit out of your lips beforehand, they'll be extremely dry and prone to cracking.

ColourPop is dabes.

@littlebiscuits B&BW is becoming my goddamn crack. With the Christmas coupons and scents that both evoke MASSIVE nostalgia or fill me with happiness I've amassed enough shea lotion and shower gels to open my own store and enough 3-wick candles to start building an addition onto the house.

Do you have a favorite scent? Their Sea Salt and Fresh Water scent is probably my favorite candle/wallflower combo because it smells so much like the ocean scenes from Soarin' Over California. Bodycare wise I would have to say I'm fucking coo-coo for A Thousand Wishes.

That shea stuff is the shit. My feet are soft after I put it on at night and fall asleep. I used to get terrible fucking hangnails but since using only their sanitizers and lotions they're not all fucked up.

@GRANDnumberofMULTIPLES @littlebiscuits B&BW's golden sugar scrubs are the best body scrubs I've ever used, hands down. (And this is coming from someone who would willingly exfoliate with gravel if she could.)

I used to really like the Paris Amour scent, but for some reason, I've been digging the Sweet Pea...which is a bit of a throwback for me, because I liked that a lot when I was in, like, middle school.

Me? I like endless weekend and beautiful day! Thousand wishes is great too though. I agree with about the fresh water sea salt. That scent is dabs.

Sweet Pea is a really nice scent. It's also my dad's nickname for my sister, which is adorable. I'm very fond of BBW's Plumeria scent, which they discontinued awhile back. I miss it. It makes me think of Pokémon, oddly enough. My mother used to make those little scented "jam jars" out of that weird jelly air freshener stuff, and we had a plumeria scented one next to the rocking chair in our old living room. Which happened to be where I would play Pokémon Red all the time when I was like, 7 years old. So that smell and the game have had a close association for me for 2o years now.

I also really love their Japanese Cherry Blossom scent, though I'm unsure if they changed the formula on that, because the last time I put one of the Scentportable things in my car of that fragrance, it smelled overwhelmingly of just... cherry. And I hate cherry. The Japanese Cherry Blossom scent to me was always just a really, really lovely light floral with no fruitiness in it whatsoever. So I was really surprised and put off by the Scentportable.

Anyway, I quickly remedied that by replacing it with Eucalyptus & Spearmint. That's probably my all-time favorite scent from BBW. I stocked up on a bunch of it when their aromatherapy collection first came out, and it's just one of the nicest scents ever. It really is relaxing.

Another good one that I find a bit underrated is Cotton Blossom. It's very light and clean without being soap-like.

Okay, I've rambled on too much about scents now, haha. I promise I have a good reason for getting overly excited about nice-smelling things.

You can still get Plumeria online! They brought it back! And preteen me rejoiced! https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=plumeria&origkw=plumeria&sr=1

It was in the stores earlier this year I believe along with some of their other throwbacks. I knew that if I got the fragrance spray I would be in trouble and smell like I did when I was 12 so I took it easy and got the shea lotion. Oh my god it smells like nostalgia. It's a little strong for me now but I loved plumeria anything so goddamn much when I was a kid.

I used to have waist-length hair would spritz that stuff in there so I could always be surrounded with an aura of plumeria. It's a wonder I didn't kill off any of my friends/pets with that flowery cloud. *yawn*

I used to love Japanese Cherry Blossom until I used it too much and got sick of it (oops). I find my favorite scents tend to be the limited edition/seasonal ones that aren't in stores long. I have Sweet Magnolia & Clementine in lotion and body mist and now even though it's my all time favorite I don't want to use it ever again because it's not being sold anymore. Right now my favorite is Country Apple (RIP)... mostly because my boyfriend likes it so it reminds me of him now. :heart-full:

I do really like Forever Red though... I'm just too cheap to actually get it. And Beautiful Day. Okay, I have tons of favorites.

NO WAY! I had no idea they brought it back! Ohh that makes me so happy... Is it only online or do any stores have it?

It's online only at this point. I got my plumeria stuff when they were clearance-sailing it out of the stores. But you can still get it!

And @A Skeleton they also have Country Apple online only too. No idea how long they'll keep them but they've been available online since they announced the throwback scents.

Is dermarolling safe/effective
I do this and yes it is effective. I use retin a gel with it but some people say not to. Is it safe? I think if you properly sterilize it should be fine. Also try to wear sun protection and cover the area if you can for a couple of days after you do it. And don't be too aggressive with the roller.

I've been looking for a super light every-day routine that can cover some redness and dark circles without resorting to full-on cosplay make up, (which is the only make up I've ever done) and recently tried out BB creams. I actually really like the Dream Fresh by Maybelline for color correcting, but it has a 'dewy' look and I'm concerned I'll look greasy out in the sun. Some people suggested a matte powder over it, but I'm not sure what to get? Should I choose a powder my color, or use 'translucent' powder? The translucent looks to me just like really pale skintone, and while I'm pale I'm not THAT pale. Will it make me look washed out? I've only ever used liquid foundation so powders are completely new to me.

I scored a leather motorcycle jacket on clearance for 70% off a couple weeks ago  Last one on the rack and it was exactly my size. :heart-full:

It's called translucent because it adds no colour or coverage, meaning anyone of any skintone could use it. It shouldn't make you look washed out if it's been made correctly.

Am I the only one who vastly prefers more "spicy" (I honestly can't think of another word to describe it) smelling winter perfumes to flowery/fruity summer ones? Some winter perfumes smell fantastic.
Nope, I'm the same way. I'm a big fan of the earthy/spicy scents. Lush's Karma is one of my favorite perfumes/scents.

Thank you! I really appreciate the info :heart-full:

@ above: I also love spicy/earthy scents the best! Sometimes fruity ones are okay if they're subtle in a body wash, but flowery/sugary sweet perfumes are not my thing.
