Is it really too hard to tell some SJW "I don't care about gender, I'm trying to kill this dinosaur with my werewolf?" Why does everything have to be a culture war? Just play the game you enjoy.
It wouldn't be that big of a problem if they weren't able to influence the people who created the game in the first place to do what they want.

Rudy says Wizards of the Coast/Magic The Gathering is being evaluated by Hasbro and market speculators as having "peaked". Rumor is they're going to get sold off in other to capitalize on it's current value before it loses more.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did, though I always take what Rudy says with a grain of salt. Though this is coming off a massive series of failures: Iconic Masters is already being sold at almost cost at a lot of retailers thanks to it being sold in Walmart and Target, the pedo judge scandal, and yet another Standard banning. While I'd needed to know the D&D sales numbers to say WotC is failing, they're definitely not doing well with Standard sets and is now screwing up supplemental products as well (the next Master set is following the Iconic Masters print run and distribution if rumor is true).

But Rudy is also know to chimp out about reprints which Wizards has done 2 full sets of last year, with large print runs too. So who knows.

WotC have also created a bunch of 'bad faith' investments at big box stores as well. Any mystery packs you see on the shelves will almost never be of equal value and are a shit attempt to sell off unsellable product, at least if Tolarian Community College is to be believed.

As for Standard bans, that's Mark Rosewater and the rest of R&D to blame. They came up with combos that interact really well, but not enough combos within other decks to make a competitive pool. So now you have only 2 decks comprising over 40% of all decks played at major tournaments. This problem isn't going to fix itself anytime soon unless someone either adds additional sets to provide more card interactions, or more time between releases to develop card interactions.

This sounds like a condensed Creepy Rudy video. Speaking of, I hope he hasn't said anything about this unless he's being facetious and gluing more cards to his face.

EDIT: @CrunkLord420 is on point with the Rudy game. Hope his investments don't tank too hard.

They've hired actual pro Magic player to test new sets, but sets are designed at least 2 years in advance of their release. So even if that does fix it, it will be awhile.

No, because it'll strike the vast majority of people who would be asked to do it as unnecessary

if i was getting paid to do something, especially around children, no, no that would not strike me as unnecessary

asically implies we should background check anyone who comes into contact with kids in any capacity

well, yeah, generally that's exactly what happens. i worked in a cafeteria, background check. i had to observe students for my degree, background check. worked as a tour guide for a bit, background check. if i was employed to preside over a children's card game, i would expect a background check.

never once did i think "oh the humanity, think of the consumer!!!"

They're not employed, they're volunteers for a game primarily played by not-kids. I've worked in sensitive positions not involving kids and most of them did not involve a background check.

The Quartering page is able to upload videos again after the mass flagging. Of note: Jeremy says that we made actual change happen and that he's buried the hatchet with Sprankle (who has deleted her Paetreon and pretty much got out of the cosplay thing). Sprankle apparently takes critique very personally...so cosplay probably isn't the BEST hobby to pick up maybe?

If that date on the right column is a banning date, each pair was banned on the same date. So John Perryman got banned in Indiana, then ran very very fast to Virginia to do something to get banned the same day? Or maybe he was someone who got banned for saying something mean on twitter, and in the process of banning him they found he'd made a second account after moving and banned them both? I don't get what if any significance there is to that.

Actually, I lived in Indiana where I created my first and second DCI numbers. Later, I joined the military and created an account in Virginia, where I moved. Eventually, I tried combing my accounts and the Customer Service rep had seen I had 3, but only combined 2, leaving me with 2 accounts. I never got around to fixing it. Anyway,I was banned for posting in Magic 4 Bad, long story short.

The funniest thing about it is I thought I was being banned for creating the group

The based god Rudy is talking shit about WoTC again.

I don't know what document Jeremy is pulling this from: https://twitter.com/UnsleevedMedia/status/955869437177090050 (https://archive.fo/PdTpV)

Why only sex offenders, shouldn't we also ban stores from employing murders, too? Is WoTC okay with murderers?
