Reminder that modern Atari is basically just some company that bought the name and has been whoring it out for the last couple of years, making basically anything up to and including their own line of hot sauce.
Frankly I'm surprised they even have the rights to any of the actual Atari games at this point with the number of times the name has changed hands.
Really doubt any of these will get a movie, they probably just sold the film rights for cheap cause why not? Except maybe Crystal Castles since Bentley Bear's the only character in that list I can see as marketable.
Or they'll just take a regular movie and slap the name on it like that Battleship movie, cause how the fuck else are you supposed to make a movie about a board game that's 95% cheating?
Too bad they missed the peak of capeshit films, cause there was actually an Atari comic book they could have tried to flog off the film rights to. Though I don't know if they own that, probably would have had to go through DC.
Watched the new King of the Hill episodes. I think a writer has been using Null's stories on Mad at the Internet for inspiration. It is revealed as a teenager Bobby gets a job at Whataburger and when Hank and Peggy move to Saudi Arabia, Bobby stays in Texas and lives a year or two without his parents' supervision. Can't wait for Bobby to move to Ukraine in a few more seasons.

It’s been way longer than that, Atari hasn’t been its own company since the 90s, arguably since the Early 80s and the Video game Crash. It’s been owned by some French company since the early 2000s and the only thing of note they’ve done was the whole Driv3rgate scandal.

I hate that reflections has basically been dead, driv3r was the start then ubisoft bought them and the only things published by reflections were driver san francisco (a delisted game that is good) and the crew (another delisted game)
I thought the same but as a kids/general audience show. I'm sure a bunch of hipster retro types would latch onto a show about Bentley running around causing hijinks for all the random bad guys from the game like the first Sonic show.
