This is a far better alternative than spending money on a portable AC unit. A portable AC unit will have an exhaust tube that will act as a radiator if you don't have it right against the wall so it's short. It also creates negative pressure as it has to vent the hot air out which will have to draw in outside air from somewhere. A minisplit will have none of those problems.

Comforting: I guess? Depends on if you can handle horse animu waifus, so theres a place called the Kentucky Horse Park and apparently they have a official display with the umamusame horse waifus as cardboard cutouts, some merchandise, a tv playing some gameplay footage or trailers or something and posters. It really has invaded the usa but not enough to get dubbed in english because muh subs r better or whatever animufags say.
I say all of that because of the hub bub around Citizen Vigilante. Everyone is all hyped up because Boll made a movie about a white guy mowing down muzzies in current year. Fucking Elon retweeted the movie because "it's the movie Hollywood DOESN'T want you to see!". I've not seen much talk about if the movie is even watchable. The ONLY shit I've seen is the weird right wing accounts on twitter splooging over the scene where the main guy mercs a bunch of darkies. That shit is apparently in the last 5-10 minutes of the film. This means that a violent and mildly insane German man holds you hostage for almost 2 hours just to get to the thing that's getting the most buzz. I just wanna caution everyone to not get on the "this movie is fucking b-b-b-b-based" bandwagon because of one singular money shot and forced hype. Boll made porn for libshits in 2009 with Rampage and it looks like he has made porn for conservatards with this.
We watched it on last Friday's movie night (which I encourage more Kiwis to attend). It was not especially good. There were long preachy monologues, an unnecessary sex scene (albeit with a punchline), and the whole thing is very... boomery, if that makes sense. It lacked the over-the-top wackiness that made Postal endearing.
It did have some funny moments to break up the drag of it, but overall I think we collectively gave it a meh.

I was surprised months ago when I found out some civil war memorials still fly the confederate flag given the whole artificially manufactured outrage about it like almost if not 10 years ago now leading to them being increasingly removed from everything and now with these people that didn't know a world where they didn't have things to be programmed into offense towards.
Also fun trivia the "confederate" flag isn't actually the confederate flag but instead an element of one of their battle flags blown up to fill a whole flag long after they stopped being a thing. It wasn't even a full fucking flag and people decided postmortem that it was visually appealing enough to be used to represent the civil war.

The only place I know that still has confederate stuff (merchandise) is cooter's garage in Luray VA
and that's because it was made by the guy who played cooter on the dukes of hazzard/ex congress person: Ben Jones.
I've never been there though but it sounds pretty cool for a tourist trap in the middle of nowhere VA (I have been to Luray Caverns though, it was pretty neat)

They have 2 hose portables now that solve the negative pressure issue. They draw the air from the outside to blow over the condenser rather then trying to pull it from the room.
The portables are good for renters and people with weird sliding windows that can't take a window unit. But they are still noisy and I don't think will hold up to constant use the servers would demand like a good minisplit would.
