It's the same combat as Undertale except more streamlined and looks nicer. If you somehow had trouble beating the first game you'd get destroyed trying to beat Deltarune.

I thought that including Toriel's theme in Asgore's theme halfway through was brilliant, it sounded like the two were arguing especially as all the female characters' themes are in 3/4 whereas the males' themes are in 4/4 yet in Asgore's theme the 3/4 was stretched to 4/4. It has been quite a while, don't quote me on that.
