I know you called the guy jeet coded and he never sources info, but pirat_nation on twitter mentioned that RPG Maker forums will shut down December 11th. Maybe something you could mention on the show to get some local archivers to work on. Maybe a post on USIPS as well about preservation of a website about as old as the Farms.
If I were to have to guess, their new software does not mesh up with xenforo and rather than trying to find any kind of work around they just said fuck it and decided to just delete 14 years worth of guides, tips, and shit. I don't even know what the hell the new site is running. I cannot find even an About page to try to find out.
I might be stupid (very likely) because I still cannot find what the site is built on. I did see that the site is owned by something called Gotcha Gotcha Games, some kind of Jap corp, which is owned by Kadakowa, another Jap corp. When they took over RPG Maker or if they've always owned it, I don't know. What's most interesting to me is that you can see the creation date for the site is one year ago.

The nips sat on this site for a year, announced this past Monday that they're shutting the original forums down and gave everyone a week and a half to be able to use the site. All of this so they can move to a brand new, shittier site that they exclusively and explicitly own. This is some primo Nippo corpo nonsense.
