In the latest MATI, when that journalist said that the Kiwi Farms is the place to go to find suppressed media, it struck me that their repression has made Kiwi Farms uniquely central and authoritative in the world of gossip/forbidden politics.
If they simply allowed people to say nigger and post Christchurch on their websites undisturbed, there wouldn't be a single, canonical place to look for censored information, and it would be much easier to poison the well, crazymake, bury the signal, and so on. 100 random blogs of questionable credibility is much easier to silence than one massive forum with vetted posts and a built-in audience.
