Jake got arrested on a felony charge (assault) and they are asking for donations, despite the court ordering him to be held without bond. I think they denied bond because the victim was a minor

To answer your question about the Canada road signs in the latest MATI Jersh, those routes specifically are exclusive to Quebec, they're known as the Autoroutes (cause France also calls its highways Autoroutes) and for some reason they decided to put their own spin on the Interstate sign, adding a picture of a road and a Fleur-De-Lys on the bottom because everything in Quebec has to have that.

The rest of Canada uses their own route systems with their own signs like state routes, and then there's the Trans-Canada Highway (which by the way isn't even a full fledged highway with exits for much of the route) which is in all of the Provinces. I also like how Nova Scotia uses the US Highway shield for their own routes.

Josh seemed to imply that once we annex Canada that we wouldn't need to replace the road signs. What he doesn't realize, as he lived in Europe for a while, is that Americans would have no idea what a "kilermeter" is. They would be happy with the new 110mph speed limits though. So, yes, replacing the signs would be required, or at least sticking stickers over all the speeds and distances.

However she was under intense pressure due to the amount of lawsuits that were coming in from small businesses in the area. Later the CHAZ people protested outside of her house. The day after they did that she ordered the police to enter in and break it up. And the police just walked in and swept the people out. They tried to "reclaim" the spot later but they were kicked out again.

The mayor of Seattle was deeply unpopular for letting CHAZ happen and she didn't run for re-election much like Tim Walz because there was no chance she'd win. She actually completely left politics after that. It later came out she actually destroyed government records surrounding how they handled CHAZ which later led to a successful lawsuit against the city. There are still lawsuits that are ongoing related to CHAZ. Like the family of one of the people who died attempted to sue the city by claiming the city was responsible for letting it happen.

Am I the only one who remembers when the CHAZ-CHOP police community social working peacekeepers shot and killed engaged and deescalated an unarmed black teen fascist in a stolen liberated car? Then they obstructed medical personnel and nobody ever got charged for killing him because we wouldn't want to tarnish the memory of George Floyd or something? Of course the family is left to wonder why the city of Seattle would do this and is trying to get the lawsuit bucks out of it.

That's maybe the most cohesive sentence I've heard him string along. At least some people are starting to bring it up now. Wonder if there will be a civil war in his chat after that "it's only weird of you make it weird" comment.
