It's even simpler. Women (generally, because it's always a spectrum) like men who can use their hands in constructive ways. A man who can cook well is a pussy magnet, not because of the quality of his food, but because he demonstrates physical dexterity and strength. The feminine attraction to dextrous hands is the reason "yaoi hands" became such a meme.

(I'm a far better cook than my wife. It's one of the reasons she married me, or so she claims.)
