AMD for example ramped it up massively with RDNA4 (9070 XT = 779 TOPS INT8, 1557 TOPS INT4 w/ sparsity). The Trump administration has zero desire to regulate AI. A hypothetical 2029 Democratic administration + Congress would take months or years to get nerf regulations in... if they can do it at all. So we'll see at least 2 or 3 more generations from Nvidia and AMD with continued improvements, spreading far and wide. Consumer flagship VRAM will be at 36 GB or higher within 2 years.
