A human raping an animal is about the equivalent of an adult raping a mentally disabled teenager with the mind of a toddler.

To add to this, there's a reason why so many animals mating behaviors can be considered rape in a human context, for example, since he loves dogs so much, the reason their junk is the way it is, is because they are very rapey animals so they evolved to be efficient at it, felines are similar (since he loves lions too), many animals, just like retarded people, have that drive and they instinctively follow it and end up comiting rape but they really cannot understand that what they are doing is bad because they lack the capacity to rationalize it.
