One of my favorite stories is when New York dairy farmers gifted Andrew Jackson a 1,400 lb block of cheese.
He didn't know what to do with it so he just had it in the white house lobby and invited the public to come eat it.
Only took the people 2 hours to finish it off.
 
Sodium citrate isn't even a super complicated chemical. It's the result of mixing baking soda and lemon juice.

(Mixing household chemicals doesn't mean the result will be safe of course, you can make chlorine gas with cleaning chemicals, but sodium citrate is as safe as they come as a food additive)

I wonder if the whole creating chlorine gas from bleach and ammonia came out of the anarchist cookbook.

Common Bleach is NaClO
Ammonia is NH3
They do in fact react, but only as a neutralization reaction (where ammonia is sort of an acid) as the oxygen really does not want to be there.
You get table salt, water, and nitrogen gas.
It makes sense too, if chlorine prefered to be a gas more than a salt, why wouldn't table salt decompose?

If you have ammonia there are far more fun things you can do with it, like bubbling oxygen through it to make nitric acid.

I do genuinely hope Josh gets to talk to Asmongold on stream. I can’t think of any downsides that really matter if he does.
He should start by clarifying that what has been said about the Farms has been lies (maybe name RoyaltyIsHere’s retarded video and the Wikipedia article as examples) and then shift into the main issue at hand.

That's what I was thinking, some fake BS out of the old cookbook. Bleach and HCl does release chlorine gas, so substitute ammonia for HCl if you want those tasty fumes.
 
Way behind, but still watching through the PPP stream. When Cody was talking about how they just watch the child vtubers "because they're cute", I couldn't help but think of someone else. I believe bathtub Ross used the same excuse for looking up videos of kids taking baths. Really makes you think, doesn't it?

Extending Protections to More US-Based Teens
Announcement
Hi everyone,

Starting August 13, 2025, we’ll begin rolling out an age estimation model to determine if a US-based user is under the age of 18. This will happen regardless of the birthdate you entered when creating your account. We’ll then use that to extend age-appropriate product experiences and protections to more teens (like enabling digital wellbeing tools and only showing non-personalized ads).

These protections for teens are not new – we now have enhanced technology to more accurately determine whether or not a user is under 18 and are now able to extend these protections to more teenagers. We’ve used this approach in other markets for some time, where it is working well and we are now gradually rolling it out to the US.

How does it work?

The age estimation model uses a variety of signals such as YouTube activity and longevity of the account. If we determine you’re under 18, you’ll be notified. As always, you’ll have the option to verify your age (through government ID, selfie, or a credit card) if you believe our age estimation model is incorrect.

What does this mean for viewers?

If we determine that a user is under 18, standard protections for teen accounts on YouTube will automatically be enabled. These protections are already applied for users who tell us they are under 18 when making their account, such as:

Showing only non-personalized ads
Enabling digital wellbeing tools by default. This includes “take a break” and bedtime reminders.
Showing reminders about privacy when uploading a video or commenting publicly
Minimizing recommendations of videos with content that could be problematic if viewed in repetition

As a reminder, you must be 18 or older to watch age-restricted videos (determined by us or verified by you).

What does this mean for creators?

Based on our age estimation model, we’ll apply some additional protections including:

Setting uploads as private by default for anyone
Restricting the ability to earn from gifts on vertical live streams

Some creators may experience a shift in their audience categorized as teens (under 18). This may result in a decrease in ad revenue since we only serve non-personalized ads to those viewers. We estimate this will have limited impact for most creators. We’re committed to supporting creators and as always, we're investing in new solutions to help give creators more ways to grow their community and make money on YouTube.

Note: Audience reports in YouTube Analytics are currently based on the age provided by the user. We are working to update this soon. Subscribe to this forum to stay updated.

This work is fundamental to how YouTube safeguards our users, and we’ll continue to invest to protect their ability to explore safely online.

This is super autistic but whenever Null talks about cheese I'm reminded of this stupid episode I saw of "All Grown Up".

For some background, this was from a 45min special where they had to do a long cross-country trip to New York because one of the main characters was going to sing at the big Thanksgiving Day parade. So after 43 minutes of hyping this big moment and dealing with story conflicts, the episode ends on the worse note possible with this cringy song about cheese in America.
