This is why I hate the stupid Culture War game, There is no way to actually be consistent and not end up a massive hypocrite because no matter what the thing you want to defend is going to end up making you look bad.

I think that this is probably both the reason for and because of the culture of endlessly, violently shitting on anything with even a passing association to something "problematic". Anything you try to defend or have positive feelings for will eventually be found to be impure by others in future - if it has not already. This makes you guilty by association (ignorance is no excuse - educate yourself. Do better.)

Therefore, the only winning move is to preemptively, minutely examine everything and anything for impure associations, so you can violently shit on it and everyone who likes it. You should not express positivity about anything that has not already been rigorously examined and declared kosher by every single minority group, for you put yourself in danger by doing so.

Well I kind of meant it in both ways.

I don't give a shit if something is woke if it is 5/10 at minimum, which seems low but 5/10 is Average and the massive majority of stuff is going to be Average. Like this Hogwarts game so far has a pretty meh Story, but the actual Artistic Direction is pretty cool so if once you start unlocking upgrades and making combat passable then I would say "If you like Harry Potter shit, buy it when it goes on sale."
 
Will Null be playing more Hogwarts Legacy? I'm not going to be able to enjoy any other game content after watching the adventures of Jim Sterling in his pajamas.
 
Just a missed opportunity to not have the professor teach Allahu Ackbar unless that comes later. Didn't see that one on the unforgivable spells anyway so Jihad spell must be fine.

I had been on the fence about whether or not I'm interested in playing this game, and tuned in and realized the nostalgia was enough to make me want to try it out. It also was enough for me to realize that I have no interest in a dark!playthrough, lol. My child brain always thought it might be cool to get a version of the books from the bad side, but I now realize I don't have the heart for it. :(

I still related to our webmaster following the girl for a bit in case he could give the gobstones back and looking through his inventory in case there was a ''drop to make things right forever and ever again'', though!
