Punishment
There are two goals to achieve in the correction process. The first is helping
our children take ownership of their decisions, and the second is helping them
learn how to make wise decisions. That, of course, comes with moral maturity
and proper training. The most effective way to bring attention to poor decisions
is to allow children to experience the consequences of their choices. Sometimes
those choices result in pain.
Rebellious and defiant acts sometimes produce their own pain as a natural
outcome. When they do not, parents then must structure an appropriate form
of consequence to motivate change. In both cases, some form of pain gets the
attention of children faster than anything else. Man may grow complacent with
pleasure, but never with pain. Pain is an educator and comes in many different
ways, including from isolation, rebuke, and various forms of consequences. It
is one element contained in the overall scheme of biblical discipline.
F-1 PAIN
Pain is a gift from God, not the result of Adam’ fall into sin. Pain warns us that
something is not right and needs attention. In fact, in the human experience,
nothing gets our attention as fast as pain. In the training process, the same axiom
is true. Pain has one purpose: it is an educator of our children.’ It helps a child
focus and gain self-control over destructive behavior, whether it is disobeying,
talking back, or an intentional discourtesy.
In childhood, the pain associated with discipline comes in one of two
ways—by natural consequences or structured consequences. With the first, pain
is the natural outcome of wrong behavior; with the second, it is brought into
the child’s life through some form of correction.
F-2 NATURAL CONSEQUENCES
Rebellious and defiant acts will sometimes produce their own pain as the natural
outcome of foolish behavior. For example, Becky's mother instructed her to stop
running on the sidewalk because of the danger of falling on the big cracks in the
cement. Becky foolishly did not listen, and her disobedience resulted in scraped
and bruised knees. In that case, Becky’ mother would not spank her for her
failure to listen. She would, however, use the pain of the natural consequence
to draw her daughter’ attention to the importance of obeying Mom.”

A bit of lore explanation about the pregnant Warframe (with a funny payoff so stay with me). It eventually gets revealed in the story that Warframes were originally normal people that were forcibly turned into the titular cyborg golems by space jews using space zombie magic. The original Jade was turned into a Warframe while she happened to be pregnant, resulting in her still being pregnant as a Warframe. The quest that introduces Jade has her reuniting with her husband (that also got turned into a Warframe) and ultimately sacrificing herself to deliver her baby (that also got turned into a Warframe). Her quest ends with her husband fucking off with their kid and you being left with a blueprint to build a copy of Jade (that still looks pregnant since it's based on the original but isn't actually). Now for the funny bit. Despite the quest being well-received by the broader player base, it was loathed by a certain demographic because it happened to release in a June, and they couldn't stand the "pride month update" being about a "cishet couple" and an expecting mother.
