Parents no longer get to decide. Government is here to parent.
This isn't to say that these aren't good guardrails for children, but it is not for the government to set the guardrails and put every minor into that framework. A 12 year old and a 17 year old are very different and parents should have the flexibility to treat them as such.

There's not really a good solution, or at least not one that any current lawmaker understands. The better answer would be stronger device-side restriction ability, but we're never going to get that, because protecting children isn't the point of these bills- pressuring and regulating companies into being a proxy for governmental control and speech regulation is the ultimate point.

You are already being tracked and monitored on the commercial internet by adtech companies and state actors. The ID thing is good because it just forces people to realize they are being monitored on major sites. The answer is to embrace open source and decentralized solutions and build infrastructure where you aren't being monitored, not demand unfettered access to minors on Roblox, it's a losing issue. Better to be legislating things like double-blind age verification servers run by state DMVs so you can age check without giving up your identity rather than fight the age check itself.

This is literally giving up your identity to the state in order to be able to use the Internet and if you legitimately think having to provide your state-issued ID to use every website out there would not be directly connected to all your online activity I don't think you really grasp the goal of all this legislation. It's not about the kids. It's about control.
I understand the need for a way to keep creepy pedos away from kids on Roblox but I reject the 'you're already being monitored so just give up and bend over' mentality.

Like the other guy said: it's never been about protecting kids. The end goal is that the System has ALL information about you. If you say something the System doesn't like, you'll banned not from a single site or service, but from the Internet in general and/or phone networks.

I find the audio very humorous and I sometimes post it as a reaction video in the same vein as Terry Davis clips, but I think the video part of it is kind lacking. Would anyone be so creative as to make a drawing or short animation to compliment Null seething at computer issues here? Obviously Chantal and Kiwi branding should be retained, it's just that the plain thread image is kind of out of place when using it for reactions
