That actually might be it, she did get arrested from stealing from I think Target? I don't know how to look up legal shit but it would be really interesting to see if she's went to court yet or plead guilty recently. It's New York so they probably gave her a sweetheart deal for being a drug addicted menace to society. I wonder if there are any legal kiwis around willing to go digging for the documents to see where that case is at.

If it was her first offense, they may have offerered her a conditional dismissal. They'll put you on a kind of probation and if you stay out of trouble and complete it, they will wipe the charge off your record. Since shes an addict, it may have been part of her probation to drug test.
