What kind were you using? the only one I ever had that problem of not being sweet enough was those stir ones with the stevia in them.
MiO that's what they're called. Truth be told, I kind of did the same thing as a kid with chocolate syrup and milk. In the commercials they show a kid using one or two tablespoons of chocolate to put into the milk and they're good. When I did that as a kid it barely tasted like chocolate milk so I'd just dump about a quarter of the bottle or so to make it chocolate-y. Sometimes it worked and other times I went a little too far.

yea you need like 4 or 5 tablespoons to actually make it taste good for like 8oz of milk

True Lemon makes a pretty good drink mix. It has a nice citrus flavor that makes it taste not too sweet. Check it out, you may like it.

It all depends, how do you feel about artificial sweeteners? If you're fine with them, any Crystal Lite type of shit is fine.

If you want to avoid artificial sweeteners, but also aren't interested in calories or a high glycemic index, go for herbal tea (so no caffeine) with erythritol. It's a natural sweetener, has a low glycemic index, and has essentially no calories (they say it has a few calories, I'm not convinced of that given how it is metabolized).

If you don't like erythritol, same recommendation, herbal tea, but sub in Monk Fruit (also known as Luo Han Guo). It is another natural sweetener, has an ultra low glycemic index, and has no calories. I only recommend it second to erythritol because it is typically more expensive.

I can practically survive off Crystal Lite lemonade...

But holy fuck don't make it at the recommended strength. It's way too strong. About 50% potency is still plenty flavorful.

I'm currently using Crystal Lite, but find it expensive and doesn't scale that well.

It's 3-4$ to make 5 L or less depending on the formulation.

I've tried to water it down but find it loses its potency very quickly.

The crystals are obviously cheaper than any premixed stuff you can buy. But I'm running out constantly because the packages don't make that much and it seems it should be cheaper than it is.

Have you tried getting a juicer for your fruits and veggies? The father of juicing would smile down on you if you did.

Any grocery store, next to the bottled water they usually have a little display of "Mio" or crystal light or some such in squeeze bottles. Nearly all of it is sugar free. Some may have caffeine, just read the labels.
You can use as much as you want per water bottle and taper off until you're drinking nothing but plain water, it's what I did to kick the soda habit.

You can get a sodastream, I switched from normal soda/energy drinks to the diet varients of the sodastream syrups and I'm both drinking less, and have lost a good bit of weight.
You can also get a standard co2 tank, and an adapter to use it with the sodastream since their co2 bottles are pricy.

From the leaf imagery, I'm guessing that stuff is flavored with Stevia? If so, to hell with it. The only place appropriate for that vile, licorice-tasting shit.

La Croix has a lot of good flavors. The guava is really nice.

Ah, sparkling water where someone ate a fruit and then farted into the can.
