Look Outside (2025) is an indie horror RPG that's surprisingly not an analogy for depression (although your character can still get depressed). You're an unemployed brown man and there's something outside of your apartment building that's making people transform and/or become insane. You have to survive for fifteen days, so you really could just stay home and play video games all day, only having to go out to find food if you really wanted to. I saw a streamer playing this and decided to give it a shot, it's my favorite game made with RPG Maker by far. There aren't random encounters, there's a finite number of enemies and supplies to find, and it's pretty fun pushing yourself to do one more thing and then die and lose all of your progress because you can only save at home if you're not playing on easy.

So yeah it's fun, go play it. I'm surprised there's not a thread on the game even though it's been out for a year, guess a one-off RPG might not warrant a thread but I was curious if anyone else here played it.

It's too amateur for me to enjoy. The tone shifts too far away from horror in the first few days and it has the issue every other RPGmaker game has. Extra attacks and damage over time trivialize every battle.
