Hey friends,

I work a job that allows me to have headphones on.
As such, I am always in constant need of audio and series and as such, I burn through very quickly what I listen too to the point I put it on repeat.
I know quite a few of you fall in this same scenario be it a security guard late at night passing time or just going on a multi hour long drive.

True crimes?
Lolcow documentaries?
Random history?
Dudebros bullshitting on a podcast for 4 hours?
Spergs talking about their favorite obscure video game on Youtube for over 12 hours?
Website admins discussing what makes them MATI and why they love American White Cheese and Cheddar?

I want to compile this all and make a general recommendation thread

Please share what you're listening to, after enough discussions and consensus I'll make on the second post a nice list to share.
If you can, try to post stuff minimal on the need to actively watch and are more audio focused

Please do not directly post paywalled/copyrighted stuff here; a few longforms have premium episodes or are copyright stiffs. Null already puts up with enough deranged people and lolsuits. You are of course welcome to name them here but then afterwards either show us where we can pay for it or discuss privately where you can "acquire" them.

Mandaloregaming streaming video games - the ultimate comfort stream playlist for me, with an added descend into insanity. If you like the youtuber Mandaloregaming, who reviews games and occasionally works in games in some capacity, you'll like his streams. This isn't a dedicated VOD channel run by Mandy but rather several archives made by fans of his, all are high quality uploads of the original streams, possibly with some muted parts due to IP laws and shit twitch/youtube does to its creators.

King Cobra JFS podcast Snake Bones - if you like lolcows and you somehow haven't heard of King Cobra JFS, or don't know where to begin now that the man has left this mortal coil, Snake Bones is a good place to dive in. Seizure Robot 5000 is occasionally found in Josh' thread here on the farms, his brain is one of the weirdest and most wonderful creative minds I've had the pleasure of experiencing online and there isn't a single bad episode of the podcast okay, I lied, there's 2. The first & Autism and the Stephanie episodes can easily be skipped.

I have bad taste in media, this is your first and only warning. Sorry.

Mujin covers Vtuber drama. If you want to listen to a 6 hour analysis of Sinder's google doc, this is for you.

Majulaar's retrospective on Ultima. It honestly highlights just how important Ultima was to standardizing the RPG formula, pushing 3D graphics and having the first MMORPG.

Perun's national defense studies. He likes to cover the Ukraine war alot but the more interesting videos I think he's done is summarizing the defense capability of different countries. Think India, Pakistan, Japan, Canada. Also look into the saga of USN frigate procurement. It's entertaining.

Warlockracy has a few segments from a slavjank book he's doing. So far 3 chapters have been put into audio.

Oh, Ross's Game Dungeon is perfect to listen to while doing stuff. I've listened to the Journeyman video several times.

I mentioned this in another thread but End Times Ambience is an AI channel that does long form radio plays about dooms day scenarios. Resident Evil, 1947 aliens or vampires taking over a small town.

That reminds me, Warhammer 40k has some fantastic audiobooks. I'd recommend Helsreach. It's 12 hours long and follows a Reclusiarch of the Black Templars as he defends the city during the Third Armageddon War.

iirc Hollywood 360 is a few hours of old radio dramas compiled weekly?
also agreeing with Art Bell
