As an outdoorsman myself, I've been concerned with the talk of the increase of ticks in the United States in recent years, as well as a strange new disease called Alpha-Gal that causes people to become permanently allergic to red meat. Personally, I haven't had any ticks crawling on me in a long time, but I've heard anecdotes from friends about their noticing of increasing amounts of ticks in the forest. At the time of this post, I also ate some grilled burgers today and didn't have to be hospitalized, so I'm good for now.



Since this is a developing issue, there seems to be a lot of speculation as well as damage control to address the situation. In the more conspiratorial-minded corners of the internet, people are speculating that the boom in the tick population was caused by Bill Gates genetically-modifying ticks to unleash into the general public to force everyone to stop eating meat. Other theories claim the outbreak was caused by Indians. Both theories may sound dubious, but in post-Epstein America, nothing is off the table. Furthermore, the Indian Menace has a documented history of causing bio-terrorism attacks in the U.S. So far, some Kiwis in the India Menace Thread and the What Conspiracy Theories Do You Believe Thread are assembling theories regarding the bio-terror angle. Discussion of these theories is also making the rounds among fringe right wing creators on Rumble.

In the normiesphere, people are taking notice but also doing damage control by denouncing these dubious theories and blaming them on climate change. The Ministry of Truth Snopes is already deboonking any crazy myths behind Bill Gates bio-engineering ticks. Mind you, these same fact-checkers also spent the past few years telling us that the Epstein files were a myth and that the elites weren't trafficking kids, but I digress.

So let's have a discussion and provide some updates on this growing case. Here's some preexisting Kiwi Farms A&N threads as a starting point:

I released lone star ticks into my garden so that the neighbors can't steal my tomatoes.

If one of them bites me and I can't eat red meat again, I would kill myself.

I haven't been in my garden for weeks. I did not think this plan through carefully.

I talked with a biochemist about this. From what I remember, it's like a prion disease (a misfolded protein that tricks your body into making more of it), but instead of being a protein, it's a carbon based molecule. The substance itself is toxic and the infected ticks pump it into your body
 
I'm not as aware of the spread, but the increase in ticks has to do with a decrease in comparative hunters (including apex predator decline) of deer, and fire suppression.

Basically if you don't want ticks in your woods, run healthy fire through it and shoot deer.

That being said, down here in the South we always had Lone Star ticks and working outdoors it's just kind of a thing you learn to get over.

The bluepilled Snopes Verified answer is that these things can occur in nature, just like prion diseases. I asked him if it could have been engineered and he said it's "Incredibly difficult even for specialists but possible"

I personally think it's extremely suspicious that this disease not only affects humans, but also forces use to eat as recommended by the World Economic Forum

I suppose that makes sense, though restaurants are still often considerate about cross-contamination with regards to vegetarians, at least in my area.

Why would he need to engineer them? The allergy itself has been known for decades and was formally identified in 2002. It's present in multiple species around the world and is the result of an enzyme in their saliva that triggers an immune response.

I could easily see him funding some nefarious scheme to distribute them around, though. He's a bit retarded like that.

Pork and beef both contain the same sugars that the body develops an immune response against.

A lot of the conspiratorial speculation about this thing is from people who only just heard of it, unable to grasp the idea that things existed before they knew about them. I remember when my brother spent a year in California, back in 2006, and was worried the entire time that he'd end up allergic to bacon.

Fortunately, it does appear treatable with desensitisation techniques, which means introducing tiny amounts of meat into the diet and slowly increasing them over time.

this shit is so fucking gay. it's not a disease that is expertly calibrated to biologically force you to eat the bug.
  1. it appears to be a purely incidental reaction. certain species of tick contain the galactose-alpha-1,3-galactose molecule in their saliva; that bite causes an acute immune reaction; the reaction may or may not result in a long-term immune response against the molecule. the number of people who develop AG syndrome after being bitten by one of these ticks is very small. severity varies widely as well.
  2. red meat (beef, pork, lamb, venison, rabbit) is not the only thing the molecule is found in. it's present in basically every mammal except certain monkeys. it's also in edible byproducts made from those animals - like gelatin and milk - as well as seaweed and carrageenan. the gelatin thing is a huge issue for the medical industry - AG-containing animal byproducts are used as inactive ingredients in a huge spread of different products, such as vaccines, antivenom, even common over-the-counter NSAIDs. if AG syndrome is meant to turn us all into cockroach-eating goyslaves, then the collateral cost will be a massive reconfiguration of entire segments of the global industrial supply chain, the loss of many current products which will suddenly become potentially lethal to anybody suffering from the syndrome, not to mention the lawsuits.
  3. the FDA already approved the development of AG-free pigs years ago. you can already buy AG-free pork.
  4. AG syndrome has already been shown to be treatable through simple antihistamines and gradual desensitization.
yes there has notoriously been some talk from fags like PETA about intentionally spreading the syndrome to force people to be vegan or whatever. but that amounts to precisely dick. if the existence and/or spread of AG syndrome is deliberate, then these all-powerful evil genius globohomo operatives have cooked up a really fucking stupid plan which has already failed.

Eh, honestly I'm not very worried about it. If you're in the habit of checking yourself for ticks and dressing appropriately you'll likely not have anything to freak out about while outdoors or doing yard work. I've always made it a habit to be vigilant for ticks even before Alpha-Gal was discovered in ticks, and it's probably been 9+ years since a tick has actually managed to stay on me long enough to bite me.

If you're worried about ticks around your yard biting you and giving you Nu-AIDS, treat your yard for insects and buy some bird feeders to attract tick eating birds to your property. If you wanna go the extra mile buy some chickens and guineas. Personally I just do the yard treatment and bird feeders (luv me birds) method and it's worked pretty great.
