(Keep in mind, this won't go through his entire history. This will go over the important bits or otherwise this would be a very long article. I won't mention the relationships such as Scarlett and April unless you guys really want me to, because this is supposed to be focused purely on Spoony)

Noah Antwiler, known as the SpoonyOne, is (or rather, was) a video game reviewer, movie critic and a D&D storyteller. Hailing from Mesa AZ (Now IL), Spoony started out on youtube in it's early days, usually playing difficult or shitty games such as Robin Hood

before he was a lolcow had a show called Counter Monkey where he shared TTRPG stories. The first one was The Squirt Gun Wars, where his party kept using drug filled squirt guns to steamroll encounters and derail the game. Supposedly editions of the game after that video was posted included a drug resistance ability/rule to stop that happening in future.

I'm not a comic book guy so I might have this wrong, but after years complaining about a child character dying in one comic, it was later retconned so that she was alive again.

This got me wondering if other lolcows have had an effect like this.

I like the idea for the thread, but the execution isn’t really there. You’re giving Linkara way too much credit. For a thread about lolcows impacting the wider world, he really didn’t leave much of a mark. Dude really didn’t have much impact outside his own little corner of the internet.

It's long overdue time for this thread. Anyone who wants to pretend that Trump is not an LOLcow just has to look at his twitter. I have been going back and forth on where to start with this thread. At this point spoony is more 'famous' if you can even really call him that anymore, for not doing anything than for anything he's ever done. People talk him up like he was some legendary lost entertainer but even in his heyday he was at most second string behind guys like James Rolfe back in the day when video game influencers didn't crack the heights of fame ones today do.

So I have DSP to thank for modern God of War turning into miserable movie-game slop. I guess that actually makes him a pretty solid example of a lolcow with real-world impact, considering how huge gaming is and how one dude being dogshit at video games somehow helped derail an entire franchise. Fuck you Phil.
