Lizzo might be swapping the mic for the runway as she hints at pursuing a career in modeling.

On Monday (March 18), the award-winning singer drew attention on Instagram, sharing a series of bold snapshots, including one where she rocked a faux mustache.

In her post addressed to her 12 million followers, Lizzo revealed, "I want to be a supermodel."

Alongside this declaration, she treated fans to a carousel of six images, all showcasing her new look with the 'tash. Sporting a pinstriped suit jacket and light-colored jeans, Lizzo exuded confidence as she struck poses in what looked like her cozy home, even donning chunky white sunglasses in one shot. In another snap, she's seen posing in her garage, with a Tesla car in the background.

Supermodels have always struck me as proof positive of the truism that women dress for other women and not for men. Men on average simply don't find the anorexic goy golems you see on modelling runways all that attractive; maybe this was different once upon a time, but the era of Christie Brinkley et al is now long in the past.

All of which is a roundabout way of noting that women seem to weirdly view "supermodels" as aspirational, and if I don't understand this business, I can at least note that nobody aspires to a body like Lizzo's. And if they claim they do, I'll cheerfully consider them a liar.

I suppose the joker in the deck is all the ESG money sloshing around, so Lizzo may very well have millions or even tens of millions sent her way to launch her on some sort bizarro world modelling "career."

I can't find it now that Google search is utter dogshit, but there's a series of surveys done that actually showed the majority of women choosing something looking pretty close to a "supermodel" as their ideal woman. IIRC the male version of an ideal woman was more focused around some sort of bust-waist-hip ratio. I think it generated a minor internet sperg out in the late 1990s/early 2000s, since the survey takers got basically the same results everywhere in the world.

Though woman hating fags being behind the whole business wouldn't shock me too much, either.

It was - the era of the Cindy Crawford/helena Christensen/ Claudia Schiffer and Elle McPherson was fun. Women wanted to look like that because they were really good looking women. You look back at the pictures and they look glamorous and reasonably healthy. Big bouncy fabulous hair, smiling.
Then it all started going a bit wrong with Kate moss and it’s been downhill ever since. Nowadays most catwalk models look like they’ve just stepped out of Belsen by way of a grease bath. Nobody wants to look like that
 
Better invent a time machine first because the only way you would be remotely fuckable is to go back in time, slap the fork out of younger you's mouth, and make sure you never touch all those honey buns and piles of fried chicken.

She's very lucky - usually when a person with a moustache is accused of sexual harassment they're immediately considered guilty no matter what.

I appreciate the moustache though, because now I have scientific proof Lizzo is ugly - normally a moustache on a woman makes her look less fuckable, but Lizzo's fuckability can't get any lower.
