WarnerMedia is turning Ellen DeGeneres into a cartoon for their new programming block Cartoonito. The preschool shows will be for younger audiences who love programs like Sesame Street, Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, and Mush-Mush & the Mushables this fall. Little Ellen will bear the name of the famous comedian.

This was a bad idea even before she was cancelled, I get HBO Max want more shows aimed at the preschool age as that age group is not covered by Cartoon Network and an area they are behind compared other stream services but none in that age group gives or ever gave a shit about Ellen DeGeneres, at most they like Dory but don't care who the hell is behind Dory's voice.

Think it's likely WB are just cutting their losses here or should be if they are smart, putting out what was done and completing what was nearly done before she was cancelled with no more in production and those episodes that didn't have much work done on them being shelved.

Also just so people know this was on the HBO Max lineup when they first showed HBO Max off to the public, so well before her cancellation.

Odd, wasn't she outted as an absolutely vicious cunt on her show's production some time ago? Why would you make a kid's show about her?

They even got a kid that needs to go on a diet. How sweet.

I thought Ellen's name was mud now. Is she really reaching the bottom of the damage control barrel? Hoping little kids who don't know who she is will love the show?

I do like how Adam Carolla had her pegged years before everyone else. "She comes out dancing at the start of every show, why don't we ask any of her writing staff how much dancing she's doing in their staff meetings...I'm gonna guess not very much".

As for the cartoon - it's just damage control after her monstrous nature has more or less been made public recently.
