We have a ham radio thread here on KF if you want to learn more with out derailing here.
Some of the funniest SSTV images I've ever seen were sent by pirates in the bands around 6950.

Some boomer forums I like:

Name: Garage Journal
Topic: Extreme tool autism and general tool hoarding
Activity: Moderate/High
Quality: High

Name: Bob Is The Oil Guy
Topic: Petroleum, Lubricants and Machinery Autism, and other assorted chemical engineering topics
Activity: Moderate
Quality: Very High

Name: Grassroots Motorsports
Topic: Retards with cars
Activity: Moderate
Quality: Variable, but usually moderate

Name: EEVBlog Forums
Topic: Electrical Engineering, EE Tools, some metrology, oscilloscope hoarding
Activity: Moderate
Quality: High

Name: The Hobby Machinist
Topic: Philistine Machinists and their toys
Activity: Moderate
Quality: At least moderate

Boomers, thank fuck for once, still seem to use forums a lot and haven't totally migrated to Shitbook or Reddit, and thus keep these sorts of goldmines alive.

Name: Teacher Misconduct Project
Topic: Teachers' Sexual Misconduct
Activity level: Low
Quality level: Low to Moderate

Most if not all posts are copy-pastes from articles about a (ex-)teacher's arrest. Some pages have their doxes or other photos of them from their social media.

It seems only the owner and his RSS robot posts there.

Spacebattles is better than KF because you get to read about Starfleet meeting the Pegasus, while on KF all you get to read about are terminally-online schizos getting outed as sex pests and /pol/fags whining about how nothing is worthwhile ever because da JOOS, da INDIANS, da GAYS, da TROONZ, and da WIMMINZ. The main reason I still use this site is because it's fun baiting the seriousposters here and there are occasionally good off-topic discussions geg

Name: 68k MLA
Topic: Vintage Macintosh, mostly the 68k-based ones, with small subforums for other types of vintage Apple computers
Activity: Low
Quality: High

Off-topic posting is generally not allowed, and political discussion is very taboo.

There’s other vintage computer forums for basically every niche but I’m posting this one because it’s got a bit of an odd name imo that someone looking for an Apple/Macintosh forum might pass over.

My immediate thoughts as well. For all the shit that "boomers" get, who in reality are mostly elder Gen Xers now, many of them were early adopters of technology and are competent with Web 1.0 style forums, and run and maintain them with an active userbase to this day. Along with the ones you mentioned, other similar ones like:

Yellow Bullet Forums - Similar to GRM above with userbase and wide discussion, usually about older muscle cars.

Budget Light Forums - Surprisingly active and high quality forum for all things in illumination. If you want to gget involved in a multi-page sperg fest over which flashlight will throw more light, or debate the finer points of the difference between the 3157 vs the 3357 taillight bulb, or need to ask an ancient user about the exact metal composition of the filament on the light bulbs used in a Maglite from 1973, you could probably find it here. Sometimes has forum exclusive sales on flashlights and stuff if that's your thing.

Candlepower Forums - Almost direct copypasta from BLF above. Some user crossover, maybe a but less activity, and less commercial advertisement. Similar vibe.

Kerbal Space Program Forums - Autistic forum full of autists about an autistic space RPG game. This and it's stillborn sequel have a somewhat surprisingly active userbase. Warning for high weeb/troon ratio though.

Delphi Forums - Literally the oldest online forum as we know it, and continuously active since the early 80's. Many different communities and topics, basically Reddit before Reddit.

The drama between Sinseer and Lorespade on there was quite funny.
You reminded me of something in a roundabout way that I almost forgot existed. User rivalries that would span across multiple forums. With modern social media, and the tendency of everyone either self-doxxxxxxxxxxxxing or going completely D.B. Cooper level opsec, you just don't see that kind of internet-spanning drama anymore.

name: Do Art Daily
topic: an art habit tracker with a built in forum. You post your art in an allotted time and maintain a streak.
activity: high
quality: moderate. 4chan-adjascent. A few forum lolcows according to an /ic/ thread, but posts stay on topic at least
link: https://dad.gallery/

Name: Tattle Life
Link: tattle.life
Topic: Internet Celebrities
Activity: High
Quality: High
Additional Notes: They are tamer but cover different people. The threads can be entertaining.

Name: Dead Horse Interchange
Link: deadhorseinterchange.net
Topic: Mostly Old Internet Celebrities
Activity: Medium
Quality: Medium
Additional Notes: If you want the farms that almost exclusively discusses TGWTG members and related content creators, here you go. They seem to have added a new thread on the Quartering recently.

Lipstick Alley
Link: lipstickalley.com
Topic: Celebrities, Current Events, Sports
Activity: High
Quality: High
Additonal Notes: Josh described them as the Black Kiwi Farms, as it has a lot of black people who contribute to the site. They're pretty funny.

Name: Squat the Planet
Link: squattheplanet.com
Topic: squating, homeless living, drugs, stealing
Activity: Low
Quality: Medium
Additional Notes: It's gone downhill in activity quite a bit but some

Another one I wanted to add was Guru Gossip. It focused on health gurus and popular internet celebrities. It seems to be down atm. From what I read it's not coming back but it's been down before and made a return, so who knows. I will add it if does return.

Does anyone have any idea how to get onto Autoadmit? I know they only accept .edu emails, but there's also a whitelist in place. Some colleges aren't on it and others are flat out banned. Is enrolling in Yale or Stanford really the only way in?
I've gone through some vendors and holy shit, it all reeks of third worlders and the selection is almost entirely community colleges, so none of them are any use. HELP!

I didnt see these mentioned so Ill add them

Simpcity Forums
Topic: Porn Leaks and Gooning
Activity: Moderate last time I checked
Quality: Low to Moderate
Additional Notes: F95zone but for onlyfans and online porn. I dont remember how I discovered it so dont ask. Also Xenforo

Elevenforum
Topic: Windows 11 sperging and general windows queries
Activity: Moderate last time I checked
Quality: Moderate to High
Additional Notes: Good for fixing Win11 issues, I took its help many a time.

Skullknight Net
Topic: Berserk and Kentaro Miura
Activity: Low to Moderate last time I checked
Quality: Moderate
Additional Notes: Basically the Berserk subreddit but less pozzed with faggot shit. I dont know how ban heavy they are but its mostly just manga discussion, leaks and fanart, no gay sex and troon flags. Also Xenforo

Disclaimer: I dont really have accounts in any of these and just read them from time to time. So be wary about registering with your opsec.

Edit: It seems like simpcity does not allow thread access without an account now. 4ish years ago that wasnt the case. Oh well, you can strike it off the list.

Última edición:
Gathering of Tweakers (Dutch)
Topic: Spergatorium about information technology and software
Activity: Moderate
Quality: Not great
Additional Notes: Extremely high rate of unmanaged autism, a few dedicated trolls in the audiophiles section, Most of the forum is an exposition of kruger-dunning delusions.

Fok! (Dutch)
Topic: Hybrid of a News aggregator and general community
Activity: very high (for a foreign forum)
Quality: Extremely low, large portion are underaged and only have drug addictions to talk about.
Additional notes: The owner of the site (Danny) is the slimiest jew in the low lands and tries the hardest to change it's userbase into his own JIDF squadron, interestingly this seems to mesh quite fine with the large somalian and moroccan portion of users.

Resetera
Topic: Supposedly videogames, in practice autogynephilia and sperging about Trump.
Activity: Moderate, but petering out due to moderators banning users faster than they can be replaced.
Quality: lmao
Additional notes: Has a community thread here, Company that owns them is struggling with lots of bad and restructured debt in addition to a stockvalue that lost 80% in half a year. Needs academic or employer mail to join, but moderators are known to stalk users using that information.
