Dude's not losing his viewership. Remember the Fine Bros.? That was a PR nightmare and they still have well north of 20m subscribers.

Linus could break into the Gamers Nexus offices and livestream himself pissing into their equipment and the guy would hold on to his subscriber base. There's people all over reddit (just as one example) willing to glaze his nuts.

This is quite literally what I was complaining about in my other comment, you can have millions of children watching those videos, but kids have zero buying power and are barred from being advertised with their full info, so a view is worth like less than half of an adult account if that much, if they keep pumping completely retarded videos like that to fill an slot in the week's schedule, the actual adult people that can buy their overpriced merch at their store will just end fucking off to better pastures, you can't rely your business on kids and four terminally online whales.
Personally I think if they don't close the hardware testing team, they're going to go under, they have a massive team that's producing less quality reviews and benchmarks than competing youtubers and publications with like 2 or 3 people doing everything, hell, even GN's whole business is literally 5 employees that do everything.

To be honest most normies don’t care about his lolcowdom because he’s a tech YouTuber. He could be a full blown combol trans with a fursona and nobody would care as long as he kept making content focused on tech. If the video, thumbnail, and algorithm be willing, they’d watch his videos despite how much drama is around him. Now if he tried talking about his true and honest self and why white nationalist furries are based actually and so is Stalin then that’s when he’d start suffering à la Jim Sterling. Normies are tolerant of sperging if spergs stay on topic.

His best move is to pretend this website doesn’t exist, the thread doesn’t exist, and that the drama doesn’t exist because thankfully for him his genre of videos isn’t directly tied to his antics. Normies expect tech enthusiasts to be autistic spergs. They’ll think it’s par for the course and will keep watching if they find the content engaging. It’s all in his head and as long as he doesn’t let the drama get to him he’s more insulated than political YouTubers or commentators.

This review in particular made me laugh. (Archive - kinda, they have a script or some shit so none of the actual content saves)

Subscribers don't really matter, only the actual view numbers do. For example Boogie2988 has 3.88 million subscribers but his better-performing videos will get like 50k views after being up for a month.
Looking at the Fine Bros' React channel their views vary from around 40k to 250k right now but back in the day they were hitting millions regularly.

I'm surprised how many people still try to use subs as meaning anything. Youtube has been around for so long and is so widespread that even if you were able to 100% remove bot accounts (which you can't) there would still very plausibly be like 10 million people who subbed to a channel as mainstream as LTT at some point and forgotten about it.
