Disagreeing with a troon is 'abuse', apparently. It's interesting how these mentally ill men in dresses have taken the language of women and minorities and used it for their own ends. Now they're the most oppressed minority there is - white, male, heterosexual, crossdressing incels - and no-one is allowed to speak out against them. The amount of clout (and censorship) they're allowed is really quite impressive. Someone cynical might point to the fact that the group being mostly white, male, and heterosexual might even be giving them an advantage*.

Maybe I view the world with rose tinted glasses a bit but really no-one cares if someone is a tranny or not; buying women's clothes as a visibile troon might be awkward, and the staff might snigger when they leave, but that's the worst of it. If a dropout teenager is gonna yell TRANNY, they'd probably yet at a fatty or faggot. Someone might stare and try to work out what gender you are, but they'd still give directions or whatever if you asked.
And moreover, "terfs" generally have nothing to say about trannies who just live a normal life, it's when they try to demand the world change around them they have a problem.

Liam has been calling twitter user "Morally Correct"a stalker, the account does make fun of him but it makes fun of lots of people. I'm not sure it's based in the UK either. He's likely claiming multiple stalkers, like anyone gives that much of a shit.

It's the sort of place where you have entrenched multi-generational unemployment and you really need people who are hard-working and dedicated with lots of experience dealing with people who are hard to reach.

Everything, in other words, Liam is not.

Anyway Lewisham Deptford Labour Party needs a new women's officer. The choices are:

Retired teacher, Gill Hart, is one of the women who saved New Cross Learning [former public library] from closure in 2011 (by the Labour council) and has been running this vital community resource as a unpaid volunteer ever since. As well as being a hands on grandmother and a dedicated and active member of Lewisham Labour, Hart was also on the team who resurrected the legendary Fordham Park festival in 2013, having been a Lewisham resident since the festival’s heydays in the 80s and 90s.

So Momentum, the pro-Corbyn faction of the party dedicated to gassing Jews, and crypto-Communism, has said that Liam MUST be selected. For reasons I'm not exactly clear on.

They tried to parachute in Liam and a bunch of other Goldsmiths students who literally arrived in Lewisham yesterday, but the local party (as I understand it for positions within the Brockley sub-branch, not the overall Lewisham Deptford constituency) said 'sorry guys, we'd love to vote for them but they are registered as living outside the constituency, so we can't allow them on the slate'.

Bromentum responded by calling them a bunch of transphobic traitors to the crypto-communist troon revolution, and saying that even if they got blocked for Brockley, they'd still go forward for the overall constituency positions:

Given recent disagreements in Lewisham Deptford, our group would like to express sincere regret at the level of animosity and factionalism that has been allowed to develop amongst the local Labour Party membership.

On Tuesday night this culminated in the blocking, by others on the left, of Momentum-backed candidates in Brockley including prominent trans rights activist Lily Madigan.

By deciding not to back Lily and other comrades, delegate spaces were left open for the right-wing of the Party, with some on the left effectively choosing this over the alternative of a united left.

Last year, Lily was the first trans woman in the Party to be elected a CLP Women’s Officer. She suffered terrible harassment for what soon became a national news story, and became an inspiration for young LBGT+ people everywhere for her fearless stand in defence of basic principles of equality.

We are immensely proud to be supporting Lily in her candidacy for Women’s Officer in Lewisham Deptford CLP. Regrettably, her ability to even stand for this role has been made more difficult by these unprincipled manoeuvres.

We are calling for all women party members in Lewisham Deptford CLP to come out to their Women’s Forum at 1400 on Sunday 28th at New Cross Learning to vote for Lily and give her the fair chance at election that was denied her in her local branch on Tuesday.

On both this count and on the count of the other prominent young activists excluded, this cannot be allowed to happen again.

We need a united left to diversify our party, and be in the forefront of the struggle for equality at all times.

Bromentum later clarified that the reason that literally all the critical comments got hidden was in order to report terfs to the stazi so they could be shot at dawn, sorry I mean expelled from the party.

I live in the area this is happening. I know of Gill (who is running as women officer against lily) because she runs a baby singing group twice a week as a volunteer at the new cross learning centre which which she runs as a volunteer and I believe led the campaign to keep it open. It is a vital resource in the community.

I don’t know her well at all but from what I’ve seen she is an amazing women. Funny, kind, inclusive and strong. Giving up her time to help her community but also fun, approachable and engaging.

I was a new mother at her group. It was one of the things I dared to first go to with my screaming baby. She memorises every child’s name so she can sing them hello. Every single one! There are sometimes 20plus children which change each week. Yet every week she remembers the children’s names. I didn’t go for 5 months and she still knew my daughter when we went back. It’s a diverse baby group made of many of langages and nationalities - she makes everyone feel included and part of it. That is a real skill. She made a big impression on me straight away.

She is just the sort of person I would feel comfortable talking to or wanting to take advice from. Someone who really gets women and the issues they face. But, maybe more importantly for this area someone who is accessible and easy to talk to, for not just me but all different types of women. I don’t know a lot about her campaigning but I get the impression she is absolutely vital to the area and truly dedicated to helping it.

The area around here has a lot of issues. Poverty, drug use and refugees etc. These are deep complex issues with very alienated members of society who need practical help and representation. I struggle to understand how someone young who has lived here less than a month could even start to understand or comprehend the issues of the women here who need help the most. I’ve lived here for 6 years and I would definitely not feel I am equipped to understand the difficulties here. This area needs hands on, down to earth help from someone who gets it. Not political show boating and airy, ideals.

Anyway, this all sounds a bit like a rant. I guess it is. I just can’t understand in what way Lily could be able to better serve this community’s needs more than someone like Gill. It seems so unfair and frankly so uncaring from the powers backing her. It really shows they don’t care about this area at all.

I don’t have a problem with Lily. I just think it’s so unfair that if it was anyone else with little track record and experience they wouldn’t stand a chance against someone with Gills dedication and hard work in the area. I actually don’t know Gill that well either. We are not friends or anything but like I said she always made an impression on me.

I’m all for a fair fight and democracy but I just hope this women’s officer position isn’t decided on by people who don’t care at all about this community. That someone isnt voted in for the wrong reasons because this election has become some kind of trendy, political, woke off. I just hope everyone who votes does so for the right reasons - for who they truly think will serve the diverse women of the area the best - it’s that simple.

Daily reminder that when Maryam Namazie (a woman of colour) gave a speech criticising Islam there, and was barracked by cis Muslim men, the Goldsmiths Feminist Society stood in solidarity with the Muslim blokes because... well, because wokeness is everything.

Said feminist society also did a seminar on "problematic faves." I shit you not.

A row has erupted within the Lewisham Labour Party over Lily Madigan, a transgender woman, standing for the role of women’s officer in the Deptford constituency.

Ms Madigan, 20, is backed by Momentum, a grass roots movement supportive of Jeremy Corbyn.

The Goldsmiths University student is campaigning on a platform of “socialism and sisterhood” but in a Facebook post, Lewisham Momentum described “animosity and factionalism” between party members as a result of Ms Madigan’s standing.

The post describes “unprincipled manoeuvres” of “others on the left.”

But Ms Madigan said she had a lot of support, “especially from local women, which is lovely, and I wouldn’t be running in the first place if I hadn’t be asked to stand by local members.

"The people commenting don’t care about my age or my local experience; and just because I’m young doesn’t mean I have less to offer politically," she said.

Ms Madigan became the target of online abuse when she became Labour’s first transgender women’s officer aged 19, in Kent.

Commenting on the recent abuse she received, which she said occurred mostly online and appeared to be from accounts linked to the far right and based in America, she added: “If people have a problem with me representing women then they are welcome to not vote for me but I don’t think that’s a genuine opinion among local Labour members.

“I’m running on a platform of socialism and sisterhood and I want to tackle issues that impact most women in our community – whether that’s tackling period poverty in our schools or training our members to effectively challenge the horrid culture of sexual harassment.

“I may be trans but I’m not just here for trans women,” she added.

In a Twitter post, Lewisham Cllr Aisling Gallagher voiced her support of Ms Madigan.

She wrote: “Solidarity and love to Labour sister LilyMadigan99 who is having to deal with a torrent of vile abuse for daring to stand to be Women’s Officer in a Lewisham CLP. Trans women are women, f*** trans-exclusionary radical feminists, no room for transphobia in the labour movement.”

Ms Madigan made headlines in 2016 when she sought legal advice after her school threatened to suspend her for wearing a girl’s uniform.

In her campaign video, Ms Madigan describes this as her start in politics.

Ms Madigan was recently elected as the women’s officer for Goldsmiths Labour.

Lewisham Deptford’s women party members will vote on Sunday.
