Alright, as the resident Neptunia nerd, some tips:

1. If you are playing without DLCs, you'll have to grind a lot more. With them, not too much, but you'll still have to grind somewhat, as even though they hand you some OP characters, they aren't invincible, and the other DLC bonuses aside from the booster starter items won't take effect until some ways through the game.

2. The game has two difficulty spikes, see below spoiler for when that is.

Your first fight with a CPU in Lastastion is the first one, and the Lowee Arc is the second. You'll get a warning before doing the Lowee Arc, so you can prepare before doing that. And you should, the Lowee Arc is going to be slog of constant battles, with more than one boss fight in a row.

For the first one, if you are around 15-20 level wise, you shouldn't do too badly.

For the second, make sure the enemies of the prior arc can be beaten in your sleep. If you are strong enough to do that, the second difficulty spike won't be too bad.

It's also helpful to do all the quests, as they can get you plans, items, recipes, and other stuff. Also, get new weapons and equips as quickly as possible. Also, carry around healing items.
