One of slowbeef's Twitch mods is a lowkey SJW by the name of Meowtroid. Meowtroid here has been streaming Persona 3.

To recap: Meowtroid here is abandoning a 40 hour playthrough because of the main character's name, ranting about having to take medication because of this and that the only trustworthy friends to have are slowbeef's Twitch chat.
Some of you may have figured out what's going on but I looked up the Twitch channel and yes, the main character was named Nick (crossover with SJW thread, details here). And Meowtroid now has dozens upon dozens of tweets about "soft boys" and "not all soft boys".

These morons are just jealous of the Cinema Sins guy. They don't give a fuck about their friends (like hbomberguy, Sarkeesian, Erant Signal et al) making "serious" videos that are full of factual inaccuracies and outright lies.

Regarding Slowbeef, I've been thinking a little about the situation he's in: he's been sucking up to Total Biscuit for years and recently retweeted the transgendered Kotaku sperg (Laura Kate Dale) getting their job there, presumably as a nod of support for him/her.

And now his circle of SocJus sperglords are turning against TB and are mad at Dale.

So where does this leave Slowbeef? If the credit he built up with TB becomes worthless and his association with him makes him an undesirable in the eyes of the leftist gaming/journalism world then he's not going to get any more writing gigs or promotion.

I'm interested to see what he's going to do. He could write some bullshit post about transphobia and GamerGate being bad and not directly call out TB, maybe try and deflect by talking about the currently popular anti-Nazi subject, maybe virtue signal with the "we all need to come together and not allow small differences to divide us, the Nazis win if we allow that!"

But these people aren't reasonable and would see right through him. Then they'd attack him for not marching in goose step with the other leftists that hate TB.

Or maybe he'll just be completely quiet and hope that nobody talks about his relationship with TB? After all, nobody is screaming at Jesse Cox or TB's other associates (yet).

TB's been consistently anti-Anita Sarkeesian and recently called her a fraud again in response to this new drama. He's also made a lot of enemies amongst game "journalists" for calling them obsolete and mocking their bias over the years.

Why he does it, I don't know, because (family and day job aside) the one really important thing he has to do is keep producing content that his fans want to watch. Most of them don't give a damn about SJW bullshit, or at any rate don't care much what Slowbeef thinks about it. They just want him to do funny videos.

Why he keeps getting side-tracked from that, is a mystery. He's best known for making fun of terrible old video games. Why do you need the support of cool people in the gaming industry/journalism to do that?

I've always felt that Slowbeef's (now allegedly concluded) hatred of Pewdiepie was based on jealousy. Slowbeef seems like he has a big ego and he's talked about being pissed at people making low-effort Youtube LPs and gaining success when they don't deserve it (I made a transcript of him talking about this on the Retsutalk podcast a few dozen pages back in this thread).
He's probably always aspired to have a high level of success and recognition and sees these leftist journalists and personalities as his ticket to gaining a larger audience.

I also think (and, again, this is just my opinion) that Slowbeef's ranting over people playing games is venting anger at his own failures. He comes across as pretty spiteful and is quite cruel towards the people he retsupuraes and towards the developers of the games he mocks.

Those recent, bizarre DarksydePhil videos where he pretended to be Phil for extensive periods of time - I wish that I understood more about psychology so that I'd have the vocabulary to talk about this better - I think those have something to do with a sense of inferiority and the defensive need to attack others, as well.

He's pretty old now, he's been doing Youtube for about a decade, and, even though I'd say the content that he and Diabetus have created is of a far higher quality than most of the well-known Youtubers, neither he nor Diabetus are famous and the average Youtuber likely doesn't even know who they are.
They also aren't really growing, so it looks like they aren't ever going to be on the same level of Game Grumps or whatever.

But I'm not a psychologist and I've never met Slowbeef so what the fuck do I know, really.

Quite conveniently a new video on the Retsupurae channel illustrates a point I want to make. Look at the following:

This isn't retsupurae material nor does it belong there. At best it's a podcast with shitty gameplay overlayed, but otherwise it's just boring man talks with internet nobodies while no comedy occurs.
Look at the comments and dislikes to get a good idea of how people reacted. It's not positively.
Here's a selection of response comments and callouts that are pretty damn on point:

There is a distinct difference between Retsupurae's audience and "slowbeef's audience". The former is self-aware enough to call out hypocrisy and shit content when they see it and just want funny old videos back. And slowbeef's cultivating the latter, which are the Twitch personality and psycho SJW squad, even if they remain in the minority on Retsupurae's channel (although I'd recommend looking at that comments section to see just how desperately they're running interference).
Because, as the comments point out, those idiots are the ones that grow his revenue streams and give him money. And the Retsupurae ones? Who gives a shit! No money to be found there, but might as well use it to self-promote.

I don't think psychoanalysis is necessary because there's not much to analyze here. It's just a middle aged man with two kids trying to cross-promote as much as possible to get money, even if it means having to call people Nazis on twitter all day (while still consorting with untouchables like TotalBiscuit that his "friends" want dead).
