I'm not familar with giantbomb but that video (I didn't watch the whole thing) was embarassing. What even was it supposed be as in what's it for? It wasn't a review. Can't really call it a preview either since the majority of the screen is taken up by peoples faces for no reason while they add no comments of note to what's happening beyond unfunny attempts at riffing. A 5 min video of someone's impressions after playing the game for an hour would be 100x more valuble as a preview.
The format could work if it was done by people who had something interesting to say about video games or had either personal or interpersonal chemistry/charisma but not these people.

Damn that's rough. It does happen to women a lot more than most would realize and it looks even more awkward. These days there's also the worry of being mistaken for a troon because of something like that too.

This is probably what makes Void one of the most interesting SA lolcows and at the same time the saddest thing about her. Years and years of being terminally online and only engaging with people within her echo chambers have left her with the mental maturity of a woman half her age.
What I wouldn't give to see a person in their mid-30s trying to connect with her new co-workers by spewing unfunny memes, vidya references and twitter lingo 24/7. Maybe she'll show them a photo of an obese Spyro and try to explain why she can't stop squeeing and clapping her feet every time she sees it.

VB reminds me a lot of Rebecca Gerber or Pantsu Party in this way. Deeply childlike personalities. I remain mildly surprised that Chip hasn't traded up for some marginally more tolerable dangerhair after this many years. I've never imagined any relationship with a barely functional womanchild like Jessica could be healthy or long-term sustainable.

Its that she's been a ZOMG!REAL GIRL! in vastly, vastly male dominated spaces - so she gets her ass kissed. And anyone who doesn't kiss her ass, if they actually step to her, has a literal army of white knights galloping to her rescue. There is no need to develop a personality, or interpersonal skills, because "There is a non zero chance I will get to have sex with her" has kept beta simps pampering her. Any other woman in her zone was a threat. But she is hitting the wall and transition into middle age and now that she has to put in minimal effort to social interaction....you see the results.
I'd say you see the same thing with Military Officer's wives, but they at least develop enough social functioning to be catty bitches and play mean girls to the ones they select for exclusion.
But I've seen similar around the office with women who... they used to be the "hot secretary", and then they hit the wall. All the other secretaries hated them because they were jelly she was the "hot one" so they gave her the cold shoulder. She never had to learn how to approach men, they would come up to talk to her. And once that fades, she's left clueless and unable to interact with anyone who doesn't want to suck up to her because they think she's attractive, because she never developed a personality.
Its like watching a bear who grew up in year-long salmon runs try to hunt. "I don't know! I used to just wade into the river, open my mouth and the fish would jump in!"

Apparently Raocow is from Something Awful... something great from something awful, I'd say. Used to watch his LPs a few years ago and genuinely enjoyed them. I talked with him once and he seems like a genuinely great guy who just wants to play vidya and have fun, and that's something I respect tons. I probably wouldn't find his stuff as funny since I'm old and jaded now, but I hope he's still doing business as usual, having a fun time.
