This is it, ladies and gentlemen
Nicolas Cage Vs. the Rapture
Is this possibly the greatest casting decision in the history of Hollywood?
Every time I hear that Nicholas Cage is in something, I subconsciously began to hope that he won't ham it up like he does in every movie he's in anymore. I would love to see him play something serious again like with Leaving Las Vegas.
But he can save a film by hamming it up.A lot of the ham comes from the movies he's been in lately being mostly the type that are rushed, half-assed affairs that don't require much of the people in them. He's capable of being a good actor, but if it's a film where no one is trying, he's not the sort to try to save the thing by putting a ton of extra effort into it.
Way to stay on topic. What a bunch of Laodiceans we are.
I'm kinda sickened that they are beating this dead horse again, especially at a time when ISIS is erupting all over the middle east, but I better not delve too deep into that *whistles away*
Still, I don't think its right to toy and money-make off these serious issues. I feel this way because despite the fact that yes, we are all aware of the Legend of the Rapture in the Bible, but I GUARANTEE you that post-Rapture, not a damn soul would think about it and instead pin the mass disappearance on an alien abduction.
I know a lot about this end times stuff. I've been into this stuff since 2004, I studied the book of Revelation in High School (because unlike the US, my country didn't remove Christianity from schools)

The first one with Kirk Cameron was terrible but what really what do you expect? This one at least looks promising because I'm waiting for the obligatory Nick Cage freakout at some point in the movie.
But it still doesn't top:

This movie is getting trashed by critics. Michael Phillips of the Chicago Tribune gave it zero stars, while Richard Roeper gave it one and a half.
Here's Roeper's review.
Is this it?There was a blog that did a chapter by chapter review/re-cap of the Left Behind series. I can't remember what it was called, but I read through the entire re-cap of the first book and it was hilariously bad.
