Of all the "angry critics" that plagues the Internet like a goddamn tumor, Ben "Yahtzee" Crosshaw is the one I think is one of the worst. This might as well be how he shits out his stupid rants (excuse me, "reviews").

• Pick a triple-a title that just came out to get free clicks from stupid fanboys. Remember that all of your videos must aimed at easy targets that every unfunny wannabe troll has done (Nintendo fanboys, Sonic, First Person Shooters, Josh Whedon, webcomics, etc.)
• Shit on the title knowing that said stupid fanboys will give you free publicity, increasing your unwarranted self importance.
• Use vulgar word combos like "dickbiscuit" as a substitute for any kind of humor that requires actual effort
• Speed up your voice and add "LOL WACKY RANDOM" edgy artwork to make you seem funnier than what you actually are.
• Use big words to make your autistic rants about video games being "DOOMED!" seem more intelligent

And this is without going into his boring as fuck let's plays, or the constant re.tardation of his fanbase that hate complicated things like "having an individual thought".
The only difference between him and TotalBiscuit is that he's still alive.

I think he's funny but god does he not understand basic symbolism. Like take any of his Suda51 reviews where he mostly just goes wacky weird japan man. Like he claims Killer7 has no deeper meaning when the game obviously represents post-cold war era geopolitics, or his MGS reviews where also can't understand the basic critique of nuclear deterrence or the military industrial complex because how can you take a game seriously when it has jokes and is complicated?

Although, I suspect Cinemassacre distancing themselves from Pat has more to do with Screenwave Media (they've been essentially running the channel for awhile) then from James himself. James doesn't seem to be the sort to tell anyone, even Pat, to take a long walk off a short pier.

That makes sense. James really doesn't seem to be the type to ever burn a bridge, and all accounts I've heard about him off-camera is that he's a very nice, quiet guy.

But I'll point these out:

-Just scroll through Pat's Twitter and you'll see that he's a very left-wing guy who flirts with the social justice side. He never went downright Trump Derangement Syndrome on his show, though he's always been aggressive and opinionated whenever some kind of controversy crosses his path. Like, he really went after Billy Mitchell pretty hard, taking his scores on Pac-Man dead seriously and getting all worked up, when it's clear Billy's more of a showman than anything. Ian's even harder left, he gets himself really worked up over dumb shit if he doesn't get stoned for the podcast.

-The new guys on Cinemassacre never bring up politics, at least from what I've seen. But, James got crucified by the social justice mob over Ghostbusters 2016, where he got misrepresented and called a mysogynist. His actual point? The movie looked like it disrespected its source material, and felt like more of a cash-in than anything. Of course, he was right, but the mob just ate him up and moved onto the next target-of-the-day.

-One of the guys on there wears a shirt from The Dick Show on-camera, and that show has a right-leaning audience who likes to make fun of Maddox, who went hard-left and has only suffered for it, even becoming legally defined as a cuck at one point.

So, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Pat and someone at Cinemassacre or Screenwave got into a feud at some point. Pat certainly has an "if you're not with me, you're against me" mentality.

I really like Pat Contri and his chum Ian even though they might have some bad takes occasionally, they're only human. Pat is very open about how he started out by ripping off AVGN, he pretty much just does himself now. I find Ian's schtick amusing, he whiteknighted the shit out of Zoe Quinn, he insisted that he really thought No Man's Sky was good when it came out, also he had a tummy ache and thought he was dying and was e-begging for money for medical fees because the doctors said there was nothing wrong with him. He's like The Simpson's Comic Book Guy sitting behind the counter of his video game shop, I like him.

I'll tell you who I think is an insufferably smug cunt who to my disgust popped up in my YT recs today, Alex fucking Saint, I have some vague recollection of him moving to the US some time back, is it possible that we could report him to ICE and get him deported? His tears would be delicious to me.

I appreciate that he's a skilled musician, but Steve Terreberry is less funny than when HIV turns into AIDS. He's so autistic, it makes my teeth hurt. And it seems impossible to watch any kind of informative video about guitars without him popping up in the recs, regardless of whether you browse privately or not.

There's genuinely interesting ideas in the whammy-bar video I'm linking below, but I've never been able to make it all the way through due to his insufferable mugging.

I don't mind Chills vids, but even he can't explain his voice. He's done vids in a normal tone of voice, but his narration voice is annoying.

I love the different public freakout channels, but unfortunately for them, Youtube has decided that those types of channels have to show their viewers who they are or YT will suspend or delete their accounts. So having them introduce each part of the video, with some commentary, kind of takes away from the fun of the videos. I just wanted to see people freaking out or arguing in public, not some kid setting up each video and explaining what is going on.

Chills isn't that bad of a guy, his singing voice is actually pretty damn good, and he also sounds okay talking normally. I just really don't like the way he narrates his videos and falls for a lot of really obvious fake videos when it comes to paranormal or supernatural videos.

Also, after skimming through Gundam’s videos...Jesus what an asperger. I guess my biggest problem with the nigga aside from the usual “Take-Two, Bethesda, and EA bad, praise Geraldo” shtick is that he has an extremely nasty rumor of treating random rumors started on either ResetERA, /v/, or one of the gaming subreddits as solid evidence (i.e. treating a /v/ rumor about RDR2 being epic store exclusive as solid evidence because of Borderlands 3’s exclusivity, since Take-Two owns both R* and 2K, even though they’re still two different divisions). This retard seriously has the easiest job on the planet when it comes to YT, at least Jeremy Hambeast actually to actually show his face on camera instead of just slapping Dark Souls 2 footage or something over his audio.

Vids that are just...there.
