Displaced from their homelands and at constant odds with bordering landowners & local neighbors, these gnomes have chosen to eschew their normally isolated & pastoral lifestyle, and instead raid wealthy & poor alike for food & shiny objects.

Knowing instinctively that raccoons need little training in these activities, these creatures became natural allies & can communicate without issue. Gnome reivers live alone & entirely in raccoon nests, leading to much speculation & many jests about their intimate cohabitation, only coming together instinctively at the scent of nearby easy loot.

Although cowardly & timid by nature, reivers are emboldened by numbers; but like their raccoon mounts, are prone to fighting with each other over food or the slightest insult. Thus rarely are they found alone, though it must also be noted that reivers are never friendly, especially hating extended family, and gnome reiver bands never stick together for longer than is absolutely necessary.
