As far as I've seen there's been zero reasoning given. I believe the judge is holding off on having it introduced unless the full footage can be given to the defense. As it stands now I don't think prosecution can even mention it because it's inadmissible. There's some talk of mistrial but I don't know the possibility of that unless prosecution pushes for it's introduction.

I think so but they brought the fed up to testify about and introduce it into evidence. During his testimony he said that they didn't have the original footage because it was deleted where all of this came to a head.
