Yeah I linked to him in the Jenny thread a while ago. I was told that he writes his posts from his employer's office and doesn't own a computer himself, spends time whining about PCs and loves Apple. That was about all I could find on him so I never went further than that.

I'm going through the G+ and one thing I'm really picking up is the fucked up sexuality.

There are a lot of pictures of women, relative to pictures in general. (most of the g+ is caps of twitter exchanges) but other than the sainted Anita, there are no "normal" women, The women are all veiled in some way, mysterious , aloof and unapproachable. In probably half of the pictures they are in fact sexy fem bots.
After scrolling through these photos and the realization dawning on me, I came to the money shot. Its the comment that made me laugh hardest.

One of the amusing things about the Thunderf00t and Kristi back and forth was that Thunderf00t did very nicely prove her right by being his usual self. Though personally after the first few tweets of him being his usual cunty self I would have just walked away and let him show just how retarded he is and let him do the work for me instead of sitting there trying to get him to do something that he would never do.

It's like trying to get a ferret to not shit in a corner. It's possible, but not fucking likely to ever happen without more effort than it's worth.

I went off and watched a bit more of the thunderf00t videos since he commands his personal army of kiwis and all that. Man, that guy is an arrogant cunt and I would not ever want to be collaborating on anything with him. However, I've found it is a typical trait of successful people in the field of science. I don't give him a pass on a personal level, but that guy really is pretty accomplished in science, so when people like Winters or especially McDermott, Keller, or Kiss attack this guy's scientific abilities it really calls into question anything they say.

Thunderf00t is has a cunt personality and at the very worst is a borderline lolcow that really doesn't have much to milk because even his irrational over reactions are handled in a rational coherent manner. The lulz come from the reactionary responses to him not directly from him.

I get the feeling that some of the hatred that people have for him is a lot like a lot of the stuff I see for Steve Shives. Just all really boring people to me where even if they have done some pretty crappy things before, the a-logs that obsess over them are much worse than the people themselves, despite their massive flaws. I can even say that some of the other big YouTube personalities closely involved with this shit aren't necessarily people I like or care about either. I've seen some people around here call Sargon of Akkad and some of the other GG associated YouTube guys to be really spergy now and how overly long and boring his videos are.

Yeah, while Shives is a douchebag clearly controlled by his wife - he's really boring and hard to find anything really funny about him. However, I thought the same about Winters but she really chimps out in comments and tweets. Though she has been quiet the past days.

Even MrMekotur/The Internet Aristocrat has been criticized here for similar reasons when I was in chat and that people like him just really suck now, so there's a wide range of opinions on people like them from those who are more involved in GG stuff to those who could care less about any of it.

Let's just say Kristi's paper is a lot more damning than it seemed to be at first. There is some serious stuff in there that could have wide implications but I'll let someone else go into that later.
 
What @dollarhuviya is referring to is that there is some self-plagiarism of results.

Check page 15-21 of this document. It is the results section. There are other sections where self-plagiarism happens in this document, however this is the stuff that matters. You cannot report previously reported results without crediting the original document. There is leeway given for dissertations and theses, however there needs to be some form of new knowledge to come from the results. Copy-pasting sections of the results section is just blatantly violating the ethics of research. Check below. Look at pages 15-21 of the first document and pages 105-112 of the second. There is more in the results later in the document. Every single table in this paper that was presented at ECPR Workshop “Personality and Turnout,” March 22-27, 2010, Münster was self-plagiarized and many points of text were as well.
