14 year old me was sure happy to have them.
Blacksite: Area 51 is probably the earliest example of this in video games, it's exactly the kind of ham fisted politics you see in modern media but it's a game from 2007, it's kind of unreal and has to be seen to be believed.
But it was brought to us by Harvey Smith, the man who removed women's underwear laying around bedroom floors from Dishonored 2 to try to please Anita Sarkeesian, because we all know how sexist it is to imply women wear underwear.
But the most egregious example in Blacksite: Area 51 I remember is during the mission where you're driving a humvee you come across a collapsed bridge and a black US soldier says "JUST LIKE IN 'NAWLINS" because a bridge being destroyed in the middle of an alien invasion happening in the middle of a desert is just like the levees breaking in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, that's totally a thing a person would actually say and isn't something a complete and utter moron would write, nope, not at all.
