I was doing fine today, almost too well. I could still tell there was something off, but I felt pretty normal...
Until about 3pm, when it was like someone uncorked the barrel where my spirit was kept and let about 3/4 of it drain out.
Exhaustion doesn't even come close to describing this. It's creepy.
Still have the random intense heart pounding. I do not care for it.

Edit - Oct 8
So far this morning I feel okay yet "off," and my friend is back home from the hospital but still feels crappy.

Antibody test done at work for a study. I have a positive IgG. I am not sure how I feel about having antibodies. I mean I could go to restaurants again, but I don’t want to chance it because I don’t know which strain I contracted or even how many strains of rona there are any more.

My sense of smell is back to 80% now.

Today I feel slightly more off.
The sudden "powering down" exhaustion started earlier today than before.
Even though I haven't coughed much, there's a distinct feeling that someone has put a few drops of glue in each of my lungs. I can still inhale fairly deeply though.
Still have the heart pounding thing happening.
Randomly feel like there's a weight on my chest, just below my collar bone, and kind of a chokey feeling in my throat but no noticeable reason for it. Ghosts perhaps?
No fever yet.

Woke up this morning with the beginnings of the sniffles*. Might be allergies, I'm not sure yet.
Other symptoms are the same as before. The fatigue seems meaner today.
I swept the porch since it was starting to look like I had decorated to look like I live in an abandoned building. Afterwards I felt like I had run upstairs on a hot day.
Breathing is interesting. I catch myself taking shallow breaths as if deep breathing will cause irritation, but when I do breathe deeply there's no problem. Wtf brain.

I now understand the videos of people fainting in the street on the way the hospital. This morning I feel almost okay, just like I'm maybe getting a cold. BUT THEN the fatigue hits and I have to stop and rest, no choice. My body is going to stop moving whether I give it permission or not. If someone had this illness and tried to bully their way through the symptoms like you can sometimes do with other things, passing out at random would occur, no question.

*Edit - the sniffles was allergies. Claritin fixed it.

Was having fatigue, headaches, and cough a while back. Prescribed Flonase and Claritin-D for sinus drain but I'm still fairly curious about getting a COVID test.

Interestingly enough, my doctor said the COVID tests were pretty crappy and that a negative with symptoms most likely means you have COVID anyway.

Today I feel well. TOO well.
Last night I was tired so I went to bed and was suddenly very awake, and stayed that way until the wee hours of the morning.
I am running on about half the sleep I usually get, but I feel clear-headed and energetic. This can only mean one thing, that I am about to crash hard.
I've been fighting the urge to do All The Things because I've fallen for that trick in the past. No, virus, I will not go exhaust myself so you can have an easier time of fucking my shit up.
Also I've been craving protein lately. The last time I felt this much of a MIGHTY NEED for protein I was recovering from surgery. Weird but there ya go.

False negatives are common, it's why they want to test twice or more.
Some pretty common symptoms that aren't easily attributed to allergies/flu- loss of smell or taste, pinkeye/conjunctivitis, unproductive cough with tightness of the chest. Fatigue, that's a big one.

Fever is a good indicator but any bacterial infection, or the flu, can cause it.

If you're not having symptoms now and it's been more than two weeks testing won't show anything. The antibody tests aren't accurate at all yet.

I still feel healthier than I think I should.
Around 5pm or so the fatigue and heart-pounding started up again, along with another thing I hadn't mentioned because I couldn't decide if it was from Covid or just being old and creaky - chest pain that felt like someone was poking at me with a broom handle. I get that sometimes if I've irritated a tendon or muscle, but the past week it pops up at random, usually at the same time as the other stuff.
Probably an enemy of mine has a voodoo doll of me and is stepping on it wearing stiletto heels. Nah, I'm not important enough to have enemies.
I do not feel all that bad right now and I do not trust it.

I have no idea if I have it and they won't test me, but here's the brief and rather inconsequential story anyway. I was visiting my parents the previous weekend. Two days in, my mother developed a fever that went away after two more days. On Monday - the day I came back - I was feeling a bit off. Come Tuesday, I came down with a fever that - what a surprise - lasted exactly two days. Only after the fever was gone, some other symptoms came along: a slight cough, fatigue, also lost my sense of smell. It's day five of these symptoms and so far they're not letting go. I don't know, it's clearly not the flu and it's nothing like any cold I'd experienced before.

Edit: aaand a few hours after posting this I have regained my sense of smell, out of nowhere. At least for now.

This morning I felt fine, if a little drowsy even after coffee.
Fatigue creeps in then goes away.
Then a little while ago I got an achy feeling in my back, on the right side in between my spine and shoulder blade. Kinda feels like someone punched me there, but no one has.
Now the achy back pain has spread to the other side, so I feel like I've fallen backwards off a swing set like I did when I was 5.
Unpleasant.

I lucked out and got the Trump strain so I'm actually in better shape than I was before. Anyway, this high IQ is making me feel kind of winded so I should probably take some of my aunt's lupus medication before I get back to my rounds at the old folks home.

My partner and his entire family has had it. 3 brothers, 2 sister in laws, aunt and uncle, both parents, and grandmother... his mom is still in hospital, just got off the ventilator after nearly dying, and his grandma was discharged
oxygen a couple weeks ago. His dad has permanent lung damage, both parents are in their mid-50’s with pre-existing conditions.

I have somehow come back negative on both swab and antibody tests thus far despite living with him in a one bedroom, but we arranged separate living conditions for about 4 days when his fever first spiked. He had the fever for about a week and a half intermittently, major stomach issues, but only a slight cough. He would get winded more easily for sure, at a month later he’s pretty much fully recovered.
His mom ended up dying at the beginning of September. RIP mom.

Update on the friend of mine that got diagnosed with The Coof on September 21 - He's feeling better and took another test and I guess it said he's officially Chinky Pox free! Yay!

I still feel far too healthy to have the dread disease that is cutting down the world, but I also don't want to go out and get tested, I'd rather stay home and keep my germs to myself. The unholy fatigue creeps in and pulls the plug on me every so often so I remember that I've got something though. Also that back pain I had yesterday that I had nearly written off as just being old and decrepit came back with a vengeance when I moved around too much earlier. Possibly deferred pain from my lungs? No idea.

There was a coof outbreak at my in-person office. Everyone who got tested came back positive (small, open office). I never got tested, just kept to myself for a while. Most people (including myself, assuming I had it) were completely asymptomatic, one had a pretty bad fever/cough for a couple weeks.
