Are any other coofers out there who are dealing with insane post-viral fatigue? I'm fucking exhausted all the time; falling asleep while sitting at my desk, sleeping 10+ hours as well as napping, etc.

Same here, but mine's felt like a pronounced resurgence.

I'm sure I had it the last week of January and symptoms didn't really clear up until we locked down at the end of March. I took a few days off but mostly chowed down on painkillers and worked through. I've been back at work for a month now, and ten days ago I got slammed with fever, chills, mild delirium, chest pain and renewed coof. But the most noticeable thing has been exhaustion just like you mention - sleeping 10 or 11 hours plus napping and just bone tired the whole time. The first time around I didn't have the same fatigue and the coughing was much, much worse.

I'm waiting on test results now; if they come back positive that will be curious as its been 6 months since symptoms started.

That's pretty much exactly what happened with me actually. I am sure I got it back in mid-March; I had all the symptoms but nothing too severe so nobody bothered to test me then. And I got tested on a whim in early June and it came back positive, but I've had a massive resurgence of symptoms in the past three weeks or so. I'm about to ask my doc if I can go on short-term disability because just getting dressed in the morning (hell just getting out of BED in the morning) is enough to exhaust the crap out of me and have me ready for a nap.

Jeez, that's rough, I'm sorry to hear it. Hope you get signed off!
Think I'm SOL because I've never had a positive test (back in Jan I would have to have travelled to China to get tested). I'm gonna try for a chest x-ray, if it's true that patterns of lung damage are easily identifiable I figure that might help me look less like a crazy munchie for work purposes.

So far, it seems like there's something to the nicotine-theory...... but only for smokers, not patches & gum.

Anecdotal; but from what I've seen the corona either doesn't hit us as hard, or we're largely asymptomatic. The big thing though is that it appears vapers get the worst symptoms when they do catch it.

The theory is that it hits the lung receptors and doesn't let the virus bind. So patches and gum would not work since they don't go in the lung.

Okey, goverment refused my testing and I am pretty sure it is not Corona. Antibiotics are improving me daily and I cough up a yuge ball of snot all the day, not the dry cough of the chink aids.

So far my medication: 500 mg klaritromicin Antibiotics, C+D vitamins, zink, multivitamin pill, and some coughing drink.

Personally I found that Albuterol inhalers help immensely, along with systemic corticosteroids like prednisone.

And that Gypsy Cold Care tea.

Also been taking N-Acetyl-L-Cystine (NAC) for lung & liver function. The studies I've read seem legit.

I use about a can and a half of chewing tobacco a day and I've been coof-free the whole time.
Spitting black juice on the ground also encourages social distancing and reeee-ing from onlookers which is just a psychological benefits.
I've been taking tumeric, vitamin c, extta zinc, etc, anything I do when it's a bad flu season.

It may be a placebo effect but I've been fine.

I went to get tested today because I was exposed to the virus at my job.
Called my job and was told that I'm to report to work still because they're following CDC guidelines.

This is latest July 2 for HCPs (if you are one of them)
  • For certain exposures believed to pose a higher risk for transmission, CDC recommends that exposed HCP be excluded from work for 14 days following the exposure.
  • For other, lower risk exposures, HCP may continue to work; however, CDC recommends screening for symptoms prior to starting work each day and using source control measures as described in CDC’s infection control recommendations.

General public July 16:
Quarantine is used to keep someone who might have been exposed to COVID-19 away from others.

Who needs to quarantine?
Anyone who has been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19.
This includes people who previously had COVID-19 and people who have taken a serologic (antibody) test and have antibodies to the virus.
What counts as close contact?
  • You were within 6 feet of someone who has COVID-19 for at least 15 minutes
  • You provided care at home to someone who is sick with COVID-19
  • You had direct physical contact with the person (touched, hugged, or kissed them)
  • You shared eating or drinking utensils
  • They sneezed, coughed, or somehow got respiratory droplets on you
Steps to take
Stay home and monitor your health

  • Stay home for 14 days after your last contact with a person who has COVID-19
  • Watch for fever (100.4◦F), cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19
  • If possible, stay away others, especially people who are at higher risk for getting very sick from COVID-19

I am going back to my project that was put on hold due to the Corona but I just got a call that 2 new people, a couple, tested positive. I am still going since its a good paying project and on the ball if people get sick.
I said months ago,
I thought this was captain tripps.
Now prolly not.
But WHY that happened is even more of a bother.

have tested neg so far, but have seen two colleagues dead, and at least ten people I have worked with over the years have also died recently.

One of my dead coworkers was in their early 30s, healthier than me.
The shortage of n95 masks fucked medfags up pretty good.

My partner and his entire family has had it. 3 brothers, 2 sister in laws, aunt and uncle, both parents, and grandmother... his mom is still in hospital, just got off the ventilator after nearly dying, and his grandma was discharged
oxygen a couple weeks ago. His dad has permanent lung damage, both parents are in their mid-50’s with pre-existing conditions.

I have somehow come back negative on both swab and antibody tests thus far despite living with him in a one bedroom, but we arranged separate living conditions for about 4 days when his fever first spiked. He had the fever for about a week and a half intermittently, major stomach issues, but only a slight cough. He would get winded more easily for sure, at a month later he’s pretty much fully recovered.

I left work early yesterday because I spent most of my shift in the bathroom puking and shitting diarrhea. I also have a runny nose, fatigue, and muscle aches (although I blamed the latter two on the retail job). My temperature fluctuates a degree whenever I check it. Have only coughed non productively a couple times, though. I just ate something and could barely taste it so yeah, I'm calling a doctor when the office opens in an hour or so to see if I can get a test.

Decided to get tested after a co-worker of mine tested positive. I've felt fine this whole time, but I fucked up and got an antibody test instead of the one for active infection. Turns out I'd been an asymptomatic carrier (seriously, felt nothing out of the ordinary) and developed antibodies after two weeks.
Guess I'm pretty lucky. Stay strong fellow coofers.

Similar thing from you guys, weirdass coughing comes back, my results for this run ended up inconclusive, I don't have any sick days left so I'm not going to retake the test, tell me what your results are when you get it back.

Also, my allergies are still a thing, even though they usually end at the middle of summer, which is weird.

I'm still dealing with extreme fatigue (14+ hours of sleep), coof, fever, sweats, shortness of breath, brain fog, and whatever else this fucking bitch of a virus is deciding to throw at me. My last test was almost a month ago and it was negative, but I'm still symptomatic and I'd REALLY like to go grocery shopping without feeling like I need a 6 hour nap afterward.

Work is not amused and I'm honestly surprised I haven't been fired yet. I'm sure the hammer will come down soon though...

Two coworkers ended up fine. One had a nasty fever and other asymptomatic so they got luck on the Corona. However, I learned my project lead family had it and his two children got lung damage for it which puts things into perspective of how the Corona can be nothing to life long problems.

Took a test and it was negative. Just stayed in my room for five days until the results came in because I couldn’t get a rapid test.
