Day 15 - (from first hint of symptoms) I have no symptoms nor have the teens. He doesn’t have Parasomia thank fk that sounds vile. He is still essentially bed bound except for trips to the rest room. My daughter who hasn’t seen him as has been isolating from him burst into tears when she saw him. Then I did too even though I have seen him every day. He is frail - his muscle mass is pretty much gone (five day a week gym goer super fit body - heavy weights and cardio :( ) . I am now trying to get him to eat every few hours and have also bought ensure, extra protein shakes and high nutrient foods. No one tells you how expensive a dose of Covid is either. I don’t know how a poor person who lives on their own would cope it must be the depths of hell really. The weirdest symptom he had was on day five or thereabouts and he was screaming in pain that his ‘feet had seized up’ - his feet went stiff were freezing and for him agony, he said it was like they had total frostbite. I treated with massage oil then heated socks cause I’m that kind of gal. Symptom went as fast as it arrived.
The next day the tips of his fingers lost all feeling for a while. Along with the usual symptoms. Worst is dizziness and brain fog and depression. His skin is shit. Covid has changed him hugely in 15 days and now the hard work will be getting him to accept it and recovery… have him now on iron multi vitamins extra vit d zinc stuff for mouth ulcers ensure drinks. Ya don’t want whatever the fk strain he had anyway. He was never a big fan of China - don’t think a trip to see the Great Wall is happening any time soon. I asked him how he was feeling yesterday and his reply was ‘fucking chinks’ 😳. Stay safe and stay well.

Day 19 or so - lost count - thought was getting better - he has been on two short walks (300 meters or so) and was able to drive me to the big shop but not come in - but he got some random wierd excruciating pain in his right side lower back today … I finally called doc. Here going to hospital is the same as going to hell so he isn’t up for that nor am I - doctor on phone prescribed steroids and tramadol I asked him for something else with no nausea so diphene it is. He is eating . 17 days feel an and eternity and had some awful ups and downs and head fucks. Spent half an hour on Reddit Covid pages and nearly died of ‘you fucking bullshitting cunts’ disorder so left. That’s update for now - he is still pretty much in the makeshift bed in sitting room. Still doing vitamins zinc vitamin c vitamin d omega have added carotene vitamin a coconut water instead of dioralyte. Steroids and am considering anti biotics soon too. I am fucking exhausted but then I am drinking a bit more on evenings to displace the stress. Ugh. Stay safe and all that bollix.
Edited for typos.

If it's past three weeks and it's still that shitty, he needs a real check up. That doesn't even sound like Covid, sounds like some kind of insane infection of some kind. Unless, you know, just pulled a muscle getting up after being bed ridden nonstop.

Either way, you should really go to a hospital.

I agree. This has gone on far too long and isn’t making much sense. They say the hospital is hell, but are able to call in and get a prescription for steroids and tramadol (which has been classified as a narcotic here). Really weird.

As had the china virus back in September of this year ; the symptoms I had were I consider flu like symptoms to extent like the two days in I felt weak, dizzy, stuffy, and so on but as the week went on it slowly leaving I say the following week. Surprisedly I didn't loose taste or smell. But I know after cought it felt and still is tired to this day and the whole insomnia thing already had insomnia.

I'd be worried about possible pneumonia (not a doctor, but my kid has developed it after a bout with the flu before). He might need antibiotics to clear it up. My kid got a chest x-ray to diagnose it and the antibiotics cleared it up pretty quickly. I understand wanting to avoid the hospital, but I'd go get it checked out if I were him.

The steroids seem to have worked and he is so much improved - I think another few hours and i would have considered hospital seriously- unfortunately the hospital situation here is so third world like you would literally want to be blue in the lips before hazarding the super big infected corridors because that’s where you are kept Covid or no Covid - if you get past a and e after a ten hour wait sitting on the floor because there are no chairs left cause it’s so busy. Then you meet the staff who literally cannot for their own sanity give two fucks about you or your level of care. Our local hospital is a no go - it is so grim. Last last resort. He was up and about a bit yesterday - I have a course of anti biotics here in my stash along with the same steroids he was prescribed - I was going to give them to him four or five days back. Think forward thinking for any kiwis who haven’t been kissed with Covid - get your med cupboard in order that’s for sure. Don’t rely on anyone else or even the ability to get a prescription. Hoping this is all but over for us - 19 days of stress and worry and a fair few when he thought it was ‘taking him out’. It’s a shitty dose alright.

My wife caught the coof and was the sickest I have ever seen her (but not bad enough to go to the doctor). After a week of flu-level symptoms I gave her Ivermectin I ordered off the dark web and she was almost immediately cured in about a day. She took 36mg total.

I took 5 daily doses when she started showing ALL the coof symptoms and I never got past a sniffle.

Co-worker caught it.
They are sick enough not to be able to work from home.
I started feeling short of breath in the morning.
I hope I am just a pussy, and panicking. Got a rapid antigen test appointment today.
Update: Negative guys, doc recommended to re-test on Sunday because of a possible false positive.

I've had it multiple times by this point.

All I can say is: This fucking bitch made excuse of a virus that couldn't even decommission me for a day after multiple attempts is really what normies and the world at large are accepting losing their rights over? It's really anticlimactic, a bit saddening, and utterly pathetic.

I got it last year in February. Went down for two days with a bad cough that lingered for a month after and my taste and smell haven’t been the same. No fever, no muscle aches. Took zinc and kick ass immune oil that worked well.

It’s a shit disease and it should be ashamed of itself.

Me and my brother were early adopters and got the coof in March 2020. Didn't meet testing requirements at first because neither of us had temps over 99° or a cough. Just body aches and got tired thinking about doing anything. My chest would start hurting if I sat upright too long. A flight of stairs was enough to spike my heart rate to 120-130 for a few minutes even weeks later. Went back to work after 21 days and a negative test and almost got kicked off the site because my O2 sat was 93 and heart rate was 110 walking up from my truck.

2 weeks ago I had constant, low-level, headache over the weekend. I had already planned on taking Monday off so I didn't go to work. Monday night I got severe chills and had a fever of 101°. Wait 2 days to get tested, mostly out of stubbornness. Tested positive and spend the rest of the week in bed. Wake up Friday morning and really don't feel good. Feel like when I've had pneumonia in the past. Fever of 103°. Chuck a pulse/Ox on and my 02 sat is 85. Uh-oh. Mom convinces me to go to the ER and Brother drops me off. They put me on oxygen, IV fluids, and steroids immediately. Chest x-ray shows bad pneumonia, and the doctor orders a CT to check for blood clots in my lungs. 3 hours in they take me off 02 and give me a dose of monoclonal anti-bodies. After 2 more hours 02 sat is up around 95 and walking around doesn't cause it to drop. They release me with orders for lots of rest and fluids.

Despite the trip to the ER, neither one of these experiences was as miserable as whatever the fuck everyone I work with got in November 2019. It was the most violent flu I've ever experienced and 2 guys from our small company wound up in the ER and one of them was hospitalized. Nobody that got sick was over 35 and all of us were miserable.

I would almost bet my life I had the coof in late November 2019. I never had a flu or an illness hang on like that. It all started with a runny nose, headache, and a sore throat. Then it was hot and cold chills, fever, and eventually it settled into my chest, where I was having difficulty breathing. From the start of being sick until I was feeling better was about a month, then everyone in my house caught it.

Poor buggers, hope your lot don't get any that linger long covid shite, ken a couple folk who've had it, one lassie's went total melt down, reckon she's one of the rare cases though, hoping at least. Try to keep it slow for the moment, you don't want this to be a false recovery only then to fall back into the shites headfirst. My dour fears aside, hope it keeps getting better.

Thanks. Early but all
Signs of so called long Covid - wierd fever and chills, fatigue dizziness on standing weakness lung pain and reduced capacity. But better than ofcourse than the height of it where I was very fearful for his life tbh - he is keeping it slow - not returned to gym yet and on super vitamins and health protocol, had a couple beers last night tho. It’s some dose and knocked him for six. He still won’t consider vaccination tho and has ordered his last piece of kit to make home gym in our attic - the gov have introduced vaccine certs for gyms here which is downright fucking ridiculous. Anyway - the moral of this tale is it can be a really bad dose it isn’t just a flu - but that doesn’t mean the entire world should be forced to take four jabs a year and live in fear and be unable to participate in society - the push back on this has to happen imho they are talking here another year and five year olds getting shots from next month. It’s mind boggling really.

the antibodies he's got right now will stick around from a month to six months, no way to tell for sure how long. but he's safe for the time being.

adding a single shot in a month ups them enough that he wouldn't need a booster for a good long time after that. the combination of infection and at least one vaccine is pretty damn solid.

I'm glad he's pulled through. Most of the symptoms you talked about are caused by clotting, the painful feet, cold feet, cramps and random pain. he should try to get in to a regular family doc for a blood pressure and bloodwork- that clotting factor can be treated, and is a big part of the long-haul symptoms.

Comes down to how varied the damage is, eg, if it's only a particular small grouping that are at risk, then sure, it's more of a case of the government/themselves to look after themselves, ya dinnae for example expect the world to jab themselves in order to make the HIV carriers not end up catching a cold with their shitty defunct immune disorder. But if it's a wide/wild grouping that's getting hit/dying off, then that argument takes a battering. Fecked if we do, fecked if we don't, at least till we can actually calculate who is actually dropping dead.
