Unless we're facing another hitler situation i'm firmly on team "Let the inbred savages of the middle east drive eachother into extinction" and keep our people safe at home where they belong. Why make ourselves look worse on the global stage than we already do and potentially make life difficult if not dangerous for US citizens traveling/living abroad? It's not like Iran would ever be a threat to anyone they're just a landlocked north korea, a bunch of inbred simpletons who constantly run their mouths despite them being a bunch of broke nobodies. Their neighbors would never allow them to become an actual threat purely out of their own self interest but here we are being war mongers and generating the next generation of islamic extremists yet again. we JUST had a terrorist attack in Texas this morning and I guarantee this is the reason for it.

Fucking republicans sure do love making terrorists and then using fighting the terrorism they cause as their political platforms. Also I didn't vote because both sides are worthless zealot cunts who never do anything that actually benefits the working class and i'm a proud free thinking independent. I'm opposed to it because Americans have been killed. Not our job to be the world police or "fight for freedom" or whatever bullshit slogan is used to justify it.

We tried that in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan and got literally nothing out of these wars other than tens of thousands of new graves at Arlington. We wasted decades trying to "nation build" in the Middle East and they hate us every bit as much as before, in fact we lost so badly in Afghanistan the Taliban is back in power!

The Iranians may hate the Ayatollahs, just like Iraqis hated Saddam, but they hate us more for what we did to their countries in the past.

At least with Ukraine there are tangible long-term benefits to intervention and it costs zero American lives. With this newest sandbox squabble, what will we get out of it? Nothing.

Israel is more than capable of handling this on their own. They're not some weak Arab shithole, they have one of the best militaries on Earth with a strong, highly developed economy to support it.

The US operation in Venezuela was not representative of "war." It would be insane to ignore all of human history of war and think, "hey, death in war is just too crazy in the 21st century." The op was NOT a "war": even the Brookings Institute observed that it was not likely a war by any conventional definition. Also, at least 7 US soldiers were wounded in that effort.
