I NEED these stickers for a local science experiment. I am going to be placing them at an easy to reach location at all the universities around me as a control, then I will check back in a month and see if any have been scratched. If they have I will place a new one slightly higher up and more inconvenient, repeating ad nauseam until they give up and then score them based on distance to see how far the annoyed trannies will go at each location.

I wear my Vikiwi hoodie out and about, and no one's remarked about it. I even wear it to Sunday Mass, and at first I was worried if someone *did* notice, it would cause some kind of offense. But it isn't offensive, and apparently the people I run into aren't internet savvy or whatever. It's a good warm hoodie, gotta say that.
I wear most of my apparel out too and have never had anyone comment on them besides my mother who couldn't figure out what the hold it together design was supposed to be and one of the coordinator ladies at work who thought the halloween hamster tee was cute.
The likelihood of getting confronted over kiwi apparel is low. I guess it depends on where you live but it would have to be someone who not only knows what the forum is, but also what the merch designs are and have the stones to confront you publicly. I did see a hold it together hoodie in public about a year and a half ago tho. Very cool.

I'd say the chance of someone recognising it and giving a positive reaction is likely higher than someone recognising it and giving a negative reaction. Consider:
  • Most people who hate the site hate it without visiting it, only by reputation. Whilst most people who like the site obviously do frequent it. Someone who visits the site is more likely to notice a Kiwi or catch some obscure reference.
  • Someone is more likely to interact with a stranger positively than negatively if they interact. I.e. if I saw a stranger with a Gavin Newsom campaign t-shirt, I would look dead ahead and keep moving. But if I saw someone wearing a Will Stancil "It Do Be Like That" t-shirt, they'd get a laugh and a nod. So beyond likelihood of recognition there's a further filter of likelihood of interaction.
  • It's not just risk but the reward. If someone tells me "fuck Kiwifarms" as I walk by well, people are rude for all sorts of reasons. But if someone says "Sneeeeeed!" as I walk by, well then we'll probably talk, maybe I make a new contact or friend!

  • Honestly, it just feels good to be yourself and express yourself. You soon realise that the vast majority of people are just trying to get by or deal with their own problems and don't care what you wear. So honestly, be happy wearing your Kiwi Merch.

Is "domestic" shipping really free? I thought there'd be a fee!

I'm so excited!
:gunt:

also, so everyone notices, there's still merch from prior runs listed. if you want patches or a shirt, those are in stock and you can get them with your stickers. :gunt:

@Null, maybe make some kind of sitewide announcement, with a link the to the store page? Right now discoverability from the forum is close to zero.

Just a suggestion. Maybe you already have something in the works.

EDIT: Apparently its not official yet

I've had Farms patches on my hats, laptop, and multiple places in my office at work including DOX FOUND on the door
I wear them out and about in Central FL, a mildly blue island in a red state
only time anybody ever said anything was my nine year old niece's surprise to find out there were Kiwi Farms stickers

now that I think about this I should get her a sheet too

I was so excited when I checked the MATI site and saw that the stickers are here! I ordered and I’m so excited!!!! Thank you Moonpie. I’m probably going to put my favorite sticker on my phone case. On my bike. In my wallet to place wherever I might be. Definitely a few in my office.

fyi the reason i didn't advertise this is the postage amounts are mostly guesses so you're either overpaying or underpaying for domestic. I'm waiting on the 3PL to confirm but they can't be fucking bothered.
