Kiwi Farms Old Lore - Low context threads sometimes make interesting reads

The impetus of this thread was driven by the fact that I was reading a little bit of the Sluthate thread, and I realized there wasn't really an appropriate place to talk about dead threads, or past KF events and interactions, that don't warrant reviving the old, closed thread.

For example, thanks to the posts, I found some fucking hilarious internet archives of the wiki, even though the archives weren't posted in the thread, and I actually think it's really entertaining, looking back on something so far removed from what you expect of incel/PUA culture today. I think on their wiki they promoted mewing early, but not for improving your jaw, but to fix your nose? John Mew is referenced in the sources. Here's the archive to this particular article.


There's some other things to note. If you jump to the end, the site eventually croaked a final time around 2015, and the guy who ran the site, Shidoshi, made an account here, and seems to have kept up posting in some capacity until shortly after the war in Ukraine started officially. And can I just say, his PFP is fucking hilarious.


Lastly we come to the user Dove, who may have had some role in the thread being closed, by slapfighting with Shidoshi. Whatever happened, he eventually received his own thread here. I can't say I'm as curious about what happened with him.

So in short, the thread is to share older threads that have limited context, or, if you're an old user, to maybe even shed some light from time to time. It was like coming across an artifact, but one I can only extrapolate so much information from, because there seems to have been some element of exchange between the two sites that is lost to time.

The Autistic Riddle



On August 17th, Christian Weston Chandler, posting under the username paintingatree, would attempt goad KF users into solving his "puzzle" that he posted over on Facebook. This puzzle was a series of photos, related to one another by a cryptic internal logic that seemed to evade users, both in it's reason and in general interest towards it.

Chris would eventually break down and confirm the answer to the riddle on August 24, 2013, in the thread titled "Christian Weston Chandler is STRAIGHT!!!!".

And while we may have obtained the answer of what the final node in Chris' riddle was supposed to be, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the true meaning of the riddle, or the logic behind it, seems to largely be lost to his passionate defense of his heteronormativity. Will we ever truly understand what reasoning binds these reference objects? No, probably not, because as CatParty said, it's incredibly stupid.

This is something I've been saying we should have. Although I think having something for more than just dead threads, and past events would be good. Just a general kiwifarms lore dump thread. Sort of like single place where people can document all of the drama, and slapfighting that goes down. After the dust settles (to keep it from just spreading into this thread while it's happening, and also so it won't need to be continuously updated as things unfold). There are a lot of entertaining things that otherwise either stay scattered over 1000 places on the site, or only live on in the minds of people that were around when they happened. I think making an effort post recapping an on-site happening is worth it.

I might try digging up some stuff around things that have happened since my time joining the site so i can do a post or two. Although I think if it's better if someone closer to the events does it because I will probably end up missing details they wouldn't.

That'd be sick. I look around the CWCki for some things that might be relevant, or perculiar leads to to look at, but I figure this is thread that's not particularly time sensitive, so we could take our time. Any contributions would be appreciated.

I was thinking about maybe asking some older members if they can remember anything that might be worth looking into and including.
