Kiwi Farms Comix Jam Anthology: Open Call For Registrations!

Lol, allow me to repeat myself.

1. The 5 month time frame is to account for the fact that most Kiwis have full time jobs and other commitments, so giving ample time for Kiwis to chip away at the project at their own pace will hopefully encourage more to participate in spite of work.

2. By the end of the Comix Jam, every participant's comics (4-12 pages long) will be compiled into a single anthology volume and digitally distributed for free here or elsewhere like Gumroad or whatever. Which hopefully means there will be a lot of comics to read.

3. Making comics is pretty hard, unless you are only making stick figure comics or shitty gag webcomics. Other than those two genres, everything else requires a modicum of effort to make it look good.

PS: Please read the specifics of the OP and let me know if you are going solo or want to be part of a team...

I like how you are using underground language (Calling it comix rather than comics.)
 
This is a great idea. I draw all the time but I don't think I've made a comic since I was in middle school. Getting to contribute more than just shitposts here would be a pleasure. I am ready to join the Jam by myself.

That's fair enough, though would it be possible for people who have finished their solo submissions to offer help a little later?

Like if there is verification of their completed submission or something?

3+ months is plenty of time for a 4 page minimum (though I hope people will do more!) so I can imagine people who finish early wouldnt mind offering a hand here and there, especially for community projects like this one.

Not trying to be argumentative, just like to be helpful!

The timeline is a lot longer than I had originally anticipated, so I might go try for 8 pages instead of 4. Maybe I'll make a cool cover page too.

Although I have a bit of a question for @liam dees - I have a non-farmer artist I work with (and am married to (don't worry, it's a regular cis-from-birth-woman-who-went-through-female-puberty)). Is that cool?

I mean if I had to, I could register her an account (which she'd never use (not that she's ideologically opposed, just that she's not a nerd)) and we could be a group. But that seems pretty pedantic and excessive.
